This weeks Jewish terminology word: Converso

Converso
This Ladino word ( Judaeo-Spanish ) root word is  Convert. 

This term was for those Jews who were forced to convert to Christianity in the middle ages during the Spanish Inquisition.
Converso, is a more accurate less disparaging term to the more frequently used Morrano.
Morrano, which comes from the Spanish word swine. 
This where the term……. Morrano Jew come from.

Devarim (Deuteronomy) ch 3: Come one man….Let’s Talk this out

This lesson we will continue in Moses’ of Blessed memory speech to the Nation of Israel before His death and them carrying on to the Promise Land. For the Portion of a Portion Deuteronomy (Devarim) will end at verse 22 of chapter 3, from which we shall continue into  Vaetchanan Portion of the Torah review which will run from Devarim ch 3 verse 23 thru Devarim chapater 7 verse 11. We will continue to increase in our intro Hebrew vocabulary, intro Hebrew terminology, Tanakh (the actual ….Jewish Bible) introduction, and Torah Spiritual Teaching. I have added to the Blog news letter the Blessings Before and after reading the Torah.
