Re’eh Deuteronomy 11: 26–32, “For those who know my name”

This lesson we continue in second sermon of  Moses’ of Blessed memory speech to the Nation of Israel before His death and the Nation of Israel carrying on into the Promise Land.  This lesson we will review the portion Deuteronomy Portion of the Bible Study will be  Re’eh Deuteronomy 11:26–16:17, Haftarah: Isaiah 54:11 – 55:5. The next Portion of the Bible Study will be Softim Deuteronomy 16:18–21:9 , Haftara: (Isaiah 51:12 – 52:12)

I believe this Bible Studies main concepts are: 1. G-D’s name and the importance of His Name. 2. The important of our name. 3. The importance of a name. 4. Does knowing G-D’s name, mean one can or will be Spiritual taken back to the Garden of Eden? A place before, transgression; for example. A place where we are not ashamed and pronto hurts and wounds? A place free from hardship and or trials of this world? Will there be a place of spiritual soul identity, rather than a fleshy identity.?

I believe Merciful HaShem has been gently pointing us to a certainty all along…. do we truly know His name? Would we let others time and again call, address, or refer to us by another’s name? And, if we were referred to repeatedly by an others name; how long before we tire of the disrespect and rebuke that or those persons? Finally, but not final question…. what does this have to do with… Pesach? I AM glad you asked…….

I’ve been wondering lately: Will the last Pesach be the same as the First Pesach?….

Will the final god of the Egyptian, pagan, idolatry , Roman 325, Greek, Hellenization apostate situation… of several nations… their “lamb”; be the last god destroyed?

I have been reading and reading the patterns of the Nation of Israel and the world… and I think we may have over looked something… Let’s read… shall we..

Moses then summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go, pick out lambs for your families, and slaughter the passover offering.

Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and apply some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and to the two doorposts. None of you shall go outside the door of your house until morning.

For יהוה, when going through to smite the Egyptians, will see the blood on the lintel and the two doorposts, and יהוה will pass over. 13. the door and not let the Destroyer enter and smite your home.

“You shall observe this as an institution for all time, for you and for your descendants.

And when you enter the land that יהוה will give you, as promised, you shall observe this rite.

And when your children ask you, ‘What do you mean by this rite?’

you shall say, ‘It is the passover sacrifice to יהוה, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt when smiting the Egyptians, but saved our houses.’ Those assembled then bowed low in homage.

And the Israelites went and did so; just as יהוה had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

Exodus ch 12 verse 21 thru 28

This may be an unusually long intro to this weeks Bible Study, but I feel we needed to take a look back in order to understand or better picture what is or may be ahead.

See, we have moved from reviewing the Jewish history, learning and relearning the commandments, what led to the wondering around after the Exodus from Egypt, Mitsrayim. Next Moses Mosheh, of blessed memory is going to review with the Nation of Israel, what is expected of them while they are in the land of promise or promise land or a land of Cannan . The portion of a portion Re’eh, confirmation of ceremony only is able to happen after the Laws of Vows has been followed. This means every detail of the covenant has to be: communicated, shown, expressed, received, and most importantly……. mutually agreed upon.

To recap or refresh vows Laws at its basics please click on hyper class: Audio BLOG Numbers chapter 30: Vows: Wife, Father, and Spouse. (Hold me now).

When we get our land……. we are to dedicate the land to HaShem. This could of course mean land or property… but also when any and every blessing or prayer comes to pass… we should give all Glory to G-D for it was and is only by Him that any is anything at all. Blessers on Mount Gerizim and the cursers on Mount Eival, are commanded to take place. Some of which we shall read about today and in future G-D willing Bible Studies, from what I can understand will stand as witnesses of blessers on Mount Gerizim and the cursers on Mount Eival…as to whether the Nation of Israel upheld their side of the mutually agreed upon contract.

Book of Joshua confirms the ceremony was performed and completed after the crossing of the Jordan. Thier far… later Tanakh studies will confirm that courts and judgements that have been taken for and against Israel was all justified. So too, are the judegments of the courts that are held in our own life. Now, we might not all live in Canaan… well… wasn’t being removed from the land promised to our fathers apart of the consequence for disobedience from G-D? That answer is….yes. I am sure we could do a whole study on this too, but let’s table this and continue on ….

We will also go over false prophets or dream interpreters.

Some religions make this a very complicated topic, but this is so very simple.

False prophets and false dream interpreters, turn people away from G-D, trick others to disobey G-D or from Israel or observing the commandments this is a key point that they are a false prophet or a false dream interpreter and not sent by Almighty God.

Here is where many would talk about Elijah and the false prophets of baal. Which is always a great story, but some times the false prophets one might encounter may look more like false prophet in 1 Kings chapter 13. I’ll go over the story more during the video upload of the Bible Study, but basically at first the True Prophet resisted anyone swaying Him from going against G-D’s command…but after some time and wariness and fatigue. Little by little maybe some doubt or exhaustion set in… next thing we know here comes…a dirty old false prophet or an opportunity to exit the place of discomfort. Let’s read a little of 1 Kings chapter 13.

“Here is the portent that the LORD has decreed: This altar shall break apart, and the ashes on it shall be spilled.” When the king heard what the man of God had proclaimed against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam stretched out his arm above the altar and cried, “Seize him!” But the arm that he stretched out against him became rigid, and he could not draw it back.

The altar broke apart and its ashes were spilled—the very portent that the man of God had announced at the LORD’s command.

Then the king spoke up and said to the man of God, “Please entreat the LORD your God and pray for me that I may be able to draw back my arm.” The man of God entreated the LORD and the king was able to draw his arm back; it became as it was before. The king said to the man of God, “Come with me to my house and have some refreshment; and I shall give you a gift.”

But the man of God replied to the king, “Even if you give me half your wealth, I will not go in with you, nor will I eat bread or drink water in this place; for so I was commanded by the word of the LORD: You shall eat no bread and drink no water, nor shall you go back by the road by which you came.” So he left by another road and did not go back by the road on which he had come to Bethel.

There was an old prophet living in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the things that the man of God had done that day in Bethel [and] the words that he had spoken to the king. When they told it to their father, their father said to them, “Which road did he leave by?”

His sons had seen the road taken by the man of God who had come from Judah.

“Saddle the ass for me,” he said to his sons. They saddled the ass for him, and he mounted it and rode after the man of God. He came upon him sitting under a terebinth and said to him, “Are you the man of God who came from Judah?”

“Yes, I am,” he answered.

“Come home with me,” he said, “and have something to eat.” He replied, “I may not go back with you and enter your home; and I may not eat bread or drink water in this place; the order I received by the word of the LORD was: You shall not eat bread or drink water there; nor shall you return by the road on which you came.”

“I am a prophet, too,” said the other, “and an angel said to me by command of the LORD: Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.”

He was lying to him.

1 Kings chapter 13

So this is very simple to see… or discern how to identify who is or who isn’t a false prophet or dream interpreter.

Those who love HaShem will always turn people towards HaShem and Torah! Never ever ever will anyone who loves G-D….. turn others away from following G-D commands, nor will they try and take one out of following whatever word one believes G-D has given them. This is very important… please hear me.

If G-D told you….then G-D told you….finish it out!.

Don’t let others talk you out of what G-D Himself told You!

If you ever get confused, or tired, or worried check in with G-D and ask Him for a confirmation or an update on His plan or orders for you…don’t ask anyone else.

Including family members……..some may or may not be evil. Family members and friends and even teachers….. are bias at best. They may mean well, but guess what?

They are all just humans.

And your orders came from G-D … not man… so why would you ask man ? That don’t make no sense.

Ban all doubt!

Those who are evil, we are to ban them from our life. iI they are attempting to turn us away from HaShem and Torah…..let it go!

So after you successfully complete the assignment from

G-D?!?

The promise and or land.. oh yeah.

While in the land of promise all idols must be broken down and or destroyed and removed. To include those things that were worshipped as idols. This might apply to cattle, animals set as pets, are even….. people.

The key factor is… if it was worshipped as an idol; it has to go. Banned, from our person, our tribe, and our household. This is while in the land of Canaan, but also when we are not in the land of promise. Remember, last Bible Study we review as order from HaShem and spoken through His Prophet Moses, anything that is not of G-D should not be in our houses….or around us.

Removing idols from a land or person or household gives the opportunity for the soil the grounds or nature that HaShem created a chance to heal. HaShem stated this when the Laws of Sabbatical Years and the Law of the Slayer or when a Murder occurs on a Tribal territory; was reviewed in Leviticus.

Jus to recap a little….remember as reviewed in other previous Bible studies when sins are committed upon a territory it grieves the nature so to speak. The land then cries out to HaShem, for Justice. HaShem, being a righteous and just leader; wants all of His creations to live in peace and harmony or Torah. And of course no doing what is evil against one another, nor forcing others to experience evil or gravely negative feelings or emotions.

Definition of Shalom or Peace: noun

  1. The absence of war or other hostilities.
  2. An agreement or a treaty to end hostilities.
  3. Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations.

Definition of harmony: noun

  1. An orderly or pleasing combination of elements in a whole.
  2. A relationship in which various components exist together without destroying one another.
  3. A relationship characterized by a lack of conflict or by agreement, as of opinion or interest.

Peace and harmony cannot exist where there is lawlessness, sinfulness, and abominable acts against life or nature going on.

Woooooooow! That was a long, but i think we can agree intro. So yes, let’s get into the….

Portion of a Portion:

For the Portion of a Portion Deuteronomy Devarim  Re’eh Deuteronomy 11:26–16:17,Haftarah: Isaiah 54:11 – 55:5 .The next Portion of the Bible Study will be Softim Deuteronomy 16:18–21:9 , Haftara: (Isaiah 51:12 – 52:12) ; for those who would like to read ahead..

We will continue to increase in our intro Hebrew vocabulary, intro Hebrew terminology, Tanakh (the actual ….Jewish Bible.. that means no “new testament”) introduction, and Torah Spiritual Teaching. I have added to the Blog news letter the Blessings Before and after reading the Torah.

This week’s Jewish terminology word is: heksher

This week’s Jewish terminology word is: heksher What a wonderful Jewish terminology word for the week! Something we all have in common at some basic level …food and the want or need to eat.. and the desire to like what we eat… and to have the substance of what we chose to intake be at some level beneficial to ones self. Well…..in Orthodox Judaism of course food and the nutriment value of the food is taken another step deeper…into the spiritual realm.

This is a Hebrew word pronounced (HECK-sure) which is an official seal of approval of kashrut on food that is issued by a mashgiach. The most common heksher on manufactured foods is the letter “u” in a circle, the trademark of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. It can also be the letter “K” or the word “kosher”. Around Pesach, foods that are pesachdik and contain no leaven are marked with a special heksher that says “kosher for Passover.” A heksher can also be a certificate, such as those poster in restaurants, to assure diner that the food served therein is kosher.

Links will be provided for the classes regarding Re’eh. These classes be posted here with hyper link after classes have been uploaded to our social media accounts on YouTube and Facebook and if possible Spotify and Instagram.

 Blessings of the Torah:

Why Blessings of the Torah?:

Before we begin the Study of the Torah a Blessing is done. In saying the Blessing we are for filling a mitzvah and Blessing HaShem of Glory and Truth’s beautiful Torah.  A Mitzvah is defined basically as:

  1. A commandment of the Jewish law.
  2. The fulfillment of such a commandment.
  3. A worthy deed.

I, say these Blessings every morning during my morning prayers. And, to ensure I am not leading others into to improper practices, I want to ensure I repeat the Blessings of HaShem, Our Merciful Father’s Torah just incase others may not have yet had a chance today.

Blessings of the Torah:

Blessed are You, HaShem our God, King of the Universe, Who sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to be engrossed in the words of Torah.

HaShem our God, please make the words of Your Torah pleasant in our mouths and in the mouths of Your people Israel. And may we and our descendants [and the descendants of our descendants] and the descendants of Your people the House of Israel, all know Your Name and be students of Your Torah for its own sake. Blessed are You, HaShem Who teaches Torah to His people, Israel.

Blessed are You, HaShem our God, King of the Universe Who chose us from among all the peoples and gave us His Torah. Blessed are You, HaShem, Giver of the Torah!

Blessing before the reading of the Torah:

Bor’chu es ado-noy ha-m’voroch.
Bless the L-rd who is blessed.

Congregation and Oleh say:
Boruch ado-noy ha-m’voroch l’olom vo-ed.
Blessed be the L-rd who is blessed for all eternity.

Oleh continues:
Boruch atoh ado-noy elo-haynu melech ho-olom, asher bochar bonu mikol ha-amim, v’nosan lonu es toroso. Boruch atoh ado-noy, nosayn ha-toroh.
Blessed are You, L-rd our G‑d, King of the universe, who has chosen us from among all the nations and given us His Torah. Blessed are You L-rd, who gives the Torah.

Let us begin with today’s lesson!

Bible Study Handbook Sources I love to use are linked below as well as on our website. I did take the advice from others and create a page to the website that titled What Marie Likes. I wanted to create a page that had some of my favorite items to share with others.

Some of this items or sources I have on this page I have discussed on the Live and Uploaded Bible Studies.

I understand that sometimes sources or resources that are authentic and Jewish may be difficult to find….. this page aims to help or assist for those seeking some of the gems and glories that might be hidden in and of Judaism.

I am not paid to endorse any thing on this Bible Study of page unless directly noted. I truly do want to help make others journey or study in Torah…a little more easy and enjoyable.

Please feel free to message on Facebook or IG with any questions related to this page. I fully admit I am not an expert, but I will do my best to help take some looks around.

Allllllll….. that being said enjoy:

This Bible Study I have continued to use Metsudah Publications, 2009. I honestly, am liking this version of the Tanakh. The version is hyperlink for those who are interested in reading further.

Re’eh

Devarim ch 11 verse 26 thru 32

Look, I place before you today, a blessing and a curse.

The blessing—that you heed the commandments of Adonoy, your God, that I am commanding you today.

And the curse—if you do not heed the commandments of Adonoy, your God, and you veer from the course which I command you this day, to follow other gods which you did not know.

When Adonoy, your God, has brought you to the land that you are coming to inherit, you shall place the blessers on Mount Gerizim and the cursers on Mount Eival.

Are they not across the Yardein and far beyond, along the route of the sunset? In the land of the Canaanites who dwell on the Arava Plain, opposite Gilgol, next to the Moreh Plain.

For you shall pass across the Yardein to come to inherit the land that Adonoy, your God, is giving you; you will inherit it and will dwell in it.

You will guard to fulfill all the statutes and the laws that I am setting before you today.

Commentary:

A great obligation to Torah and mitzvah

  • What is important to remember we are all not perfect, nor does G-D require us to be. If G-D did require us to be perfect G-D would have never made up ways or acts for us to make atonement to Him and others for transgressions.
  • Idolatry is the rejection of G-D. For those who worship idols it is though they are repudiated the entire Torah. Whereas one who violates intentionally or unintentionally a commandment; still maintains a relationship with G-D. The transgressor, just might come under some justice, judgement, or rebuke from G-D. Not to minimize a transgression in anyway. But, all corrections are all aimed to steer someone back towards HaShem and Torah and to leading a righteous life in HaShem.

Amen and Amen … #thankyouHaShem

Congratulations! you have made through another Bible Study! Sounds some Praise and Joy to Our Father who is in Heaven!

Glory to the One and Only Living G-D… HaShem!

I pray that everyone, everywhere, repents and returns to the only one who can save HaShem!

The True and Only Living G-d!

Receive Torah ….be back in the covenant of G-d.

Be at the Har Sinai say yes and be saved…….. the choice is yours.

Amen and Amen

In-conclusion,

I am left with the same thoughts that I have had since Season 1.

Everyone has a choice… and everything has a choice.

Accept the Torah, turn from evil and do good, or even chose this day whom one shall serve.

In any case…. some will chose the Life in Torah with HaShem. and… sadly some will chose the sword.

OAmein and OAmein

Blessings after reading the Torah.

Haftara this portion is

Isaiah chapter 54 verse 11 thru chapter 55 verse 5

Unhappy, storm-tossed one, uncomforted!
I will lay carbuncles as your building stones
And make your foundations of sapphires.

I will make your battlements of rubies,
Your gates of precious stones,
The whole encircling wall of gems.

And all your children shall be disciples of the LORD,
And great shall be the happiness of your children;

You shall be established through righteousness.
You shall be safe from oppression,
And shall have no fear;
From ruin, and it shall not come near you.

Surely no harm can be done
Without My consent:
Whoever would harm you
Shall fall because of you.

It is I who created the smith
To fan the charcoal fire
And produce the tools for his work;
So it is I who create
The instruments of havoc.

No weapon formed against you
Shall succeed,
And every tongue that contends with you at law
You shall defeat.
Such is the lot of the servants of the LORD,
Such their triumph through Me
—declares the LORD.

55

Ho, all who are thirsty,
Come for water,
Even if you have no money;
Come, buy food and eat:
Buy food without money,
Wine and milk without cost.

Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
Your earnings for what does not satisfy?
Give heed to Me,
And you shall eat choice food
And enjoy the richest viands.

Incline your ear and come to Me;
Hearken, and you shall be revived.
And I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
The enduring loyalty promised to David.

A prince and commander of peoples,

So you shall summon a nation you did not know,
And a nation that did not know you
Shall come running to you-a
For the sake of the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel who has glorified you.

The Priestly Blessing

And  HaShem our G-D spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

Yivarechecha Adonai viyishmirecha

Ya’er Adonai panav elecha veechuneka

Yeesa Adonai panav elecha viyasem lecha shalom

“The L-d bless you and keep you;
The L-d make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The L-d lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”

How we conduct Bible Studies here:

We believe in One and Only One G-D. HaShem; The G-D of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

We do not and will not Pray in any others name or Praise any other, but HaShem.

Exodus chapter 20: 2-14.

God spoke all these words, saying:

I the LORD am your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, the house of bondage:

You shall have no other gods besides Me.

You shall not make for yourself a sculptured image, or any likeness of what is in the heavens above, or on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the LORD your God am an impassioned God, visiting the guilt of the parents upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generations of those who reject Me,

but showing kindness to the thousandth generation of those who love Me and keep My commandments.

We believe G-D has called each of us to search matters out.

(It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
And the glory of a king to plumb a matter.

Like the heavens in their height, like the earth in its depth, Is the mind of kings—unfathomable.. Proverbs 25:2 -3)

This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks G-D’s Grace Bible Study, we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure.

We have been directed by G-D Wonderful and Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS Torah and Tanakh.

We believe as directed by G-D Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in Torah and Tanakh leads to understanding and wisdom; this shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man.

Learning, growing, and studying with OUR L-D is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time.

The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with G-D.

Proverbs 22: 4 thru 6

The effect of humility is fear of the LORD,
Wealth, honor, and life.

Thorns and snares are in the path of the crooked;
He who values his life will keep far from them.

Train a lad in the way he ought to go;
He will not swerve from it even in old age.

Ezekiel 18: 20 thru 22

The person who sins, he alone shall die. A child shall not share the burden of a parent’s guilt, nor shall a parent share the burden of a child’s guilt; the righteousness of the righteous shall be accounted to him alone, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be accounted to him alone.

Moreover, if the wicked one repents of all the sins that he committed and keeps all My laws and does what is just and right, he shall live; he shall not die.

None of the transgressions he committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness he has practiced, he shall live.

Is it my desire that a wicked person shall die?—says the L-d G-D. It is rather that he shall turn back from his ways and live.

May HaShem, Blessed be He continue to Bless us all and may we all be forever written in the Book of Life.

O’Amein and O’Amein

A little about me: I love HaShem, TORAH, and Tanakh!!!!! I am not perfect!!!!

If we meet: We talking about Torah, drinking tea or coffee, and what books are out about HaShem! And maybe over some kosher pizza… maybe over some kosher steak…make over super sweet kosher cake ……. have a fun laugh about you guess it… Torah! Or on a bike, or  during a hike,  or while riding on a train in the rain as the rain falls nicely on the plain in Spain….., but either way…..We’ll be talking about TORAH!!!!

What is import to me:……..A relationship with Our Father  HaShem Our Merciful Creator, Savior, and Wise King. Live in Torah, live with Family and community of Tribe.

My thoughts: We may not be perfect, but we study, we learn, we laugh, & we grow; we try try and have the courage to try again.

My goals: To learn and grow and share Love of Torah in HaShem with others who are willing or open to hearing.

I have been using the minds.com account and

Rumble (Live Bible Study video Post: Rumble  )

as main accounts.

Lastly, NEVER LOSE FAITH!!!!

Let’s continue to Fear and Love HaShem like a משיח and Pray.
PRAY FOR OUR NATION, enemies, fellows, and many lost Sons and Daughters of Torah to return to HaShem Blessed be He for ever and ever Amen.

HaShem IS ON THE MOVE!!!!!
