What to expect this lesson?

This lesson we will continue in Moses’ of Blessed memory speech to the Nation of Israel before His death and the Nation of Israel carrying on to the Promise Land.  This lesson will review the remaining verse of the portion Deuteronomy (Vaetchanan) began at Devarim ch 3 verse 23. The next Portion will begin in next Bible Study  Eikev Devarim  from chapter 7 verse 12 thru chapter 11 verse 25.

I believe this Bible Studies main concept is the order we receive from HaShem, Blessed be He; to not allow those who unapologetically flaunt their worship of demonic idols, but also aim to entice other into their pagan and perverse abominable dark ways.   The world teaching those of us who do not allow paganism, abominations, or impure ways into our lives or around, are somehow the problem. When that facts the matter is societies that have allowed corruption and the ways of baal peor; have also follow.  The we are called to be a light to Nations….. not compromisers to nations.

Heading into a…..

Portion of a Portion:

For the Portion of a Portion Deuteronomy (Vaetchanan) began at Devarim ch 3 verse 23 and will run thru Devarim chapater 7 verse 11. We will continue to increase in our intro Hebrew vocabulary, intro Hebrew terminology, Tanakh (the actual ….Jewish Bible) introduction, and Torah Spiritual Teaching. I have added to the Blog news letter the Blessings Before and after reading the Torah.

This weeks Jewish terminology word:
Yigdal
(yig-DOLL)

Shalom, Children of G-d!

Welcome back to Marie Speaks G-d’s Grace Bible Study.

Today we are going to go over our Jewish terminology for the week.

This weeks word is: Yigdal.

A fun video I found by The PORTNOY Brothers…. sometimes a song helps us learn another language faster. I often try and find our Jewish Prayers to song. There are several playlist on Youtube, Spotify, and Pandora, by different sources if others are interested.

There are special times in life for many of us.

A wedding, graduation, births, and of course birthdays.

Some times we may look or think that special times don’t come around too often; not so for me.

For me, special time is with our Father in Heaven. Sure, I do enjoy seasons and days and months and occasions of celebrations in and of life …yes. But, in my opinion, nothing can be more wonderful than the times I get to stand , sit, dance, sing and honor our G-D.

For a Jew Prayer or Davening time is more precious than a long awaited meal.

What is Davening?:

The common term used for prayer for those with a Yiddish background is to daven (pronounced daa-ven) and there are various theories where the word “daven” came from. Some say that “daven” comes from the Hebrew word dovaiv, which means “to move the lips.” Davening is when Jews move their lips. We don’t pray silently; we pray verbally, vocalizing our prayers.

For us our Davening sessions, if it be correct to apply such a word is more valuable than sleep. For many of us, to be in the presence of the creator of the universe from who everything and everyone is created… is like water to a parched soul.

I don’t care whether the day was sunny or bright. Whether the day was fun or not my favorite. I look forward and yearn..even ache; for the next moment I can be alone and Daven.

At the begin and end of each day and certainly moments in between …I so do long for alone time with my beloved.

I am so very honored to share another Prayer we have or piyyutim or declaration or statement of faith, from our Shabbat and High Holidays(Machzorim) and Siddur.

As from from an articleJewish Prayers: Yigdal from Jewish Virtual Library .org hyperlinked for credit we read:

Yigdal (“may he be magnified”) is often the concluding prayer of the Friday evening service in Sephardic congregations; the Ashkenazim recite it during weekday morning prayers. This prayer, believed to be composed by R Daniel bar Judah, is based on the “Thirteen Principles of Faith” described by Maimonides in his book, Commentary on the MishnahYigdal restates the first two commandments of the Ten Commandments — “I am the Lord thy God” and “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” Yigdal is a powerful hymn reminding the Jewish people of the power of God.

The Yigdal has such a beautiful history and heroic story… I personally feel that the 13 Principals of Faith are what has help keep those who have been able to stand strong and not assimilate in to the pagan or idol worshiping cultures that have always surround the the Nation of Israel in any land. But also those who have remained faithful so many dark and painful trails, help by the mercy and glory of HaShem to give me and so many others the opportunity to return to Torah, HaShem, and our People. Because, so many made such difficult sacrifices and endured what must have been such painful heartaches.. many of us get this great opportunity to reclaim our Fatih and Heritage. To all those who have had ancestors and love ones stand strong and pass on the Light of Torah …… please accept my heart filled thank you.

I pray we all Honor HaShem and return with a zeal for the Lord Our Mighty G-D, that shines so bright even the sun sings more radiantly singing…HaShem’s Praises!

A little history: For those who like to read the seriousness of this Prayer in detail please click on hyper link.

Other wise please enjoy the Yigdal Prayer below. If perhaps one feels moved to return and draw closer to the G-D of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob… I suggest visiting your nearest Synagogue and speak to a Rabbi, get a Torah, Siddur, and start learning how to love HaShem The Blessed One …now and forever more.

The great codifier of Torah law and Jewish philosophy, Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (“Maimonides” also known as “The Rambam”), compiled what he refers to as the Shloshah Asar Ikkarim, the “Thirteen Fundamental Principles” of the Jewish faith, as derived from the Torah. Maimonides refers to these thirteen principles of faith as “the fundamental truths of our religion and its very foundations.” The Thirteen Principles of Jewish faith (as recorded in Maimonides’ introduction to Perek Chelek) are as follows:

The Yigdal Prayer:

Exalted be the Living G-d and praised, He exists – unbounded by time in His existence. He is One – and there is no unity like His Oneness.

Inscrutable and infinite is His Oneness. He has no semblance of a body nor is He corporeal; nor has His holiness any comparison. He preceded every being that was created – the First, and nothing preceded His precedence.

Behold! He is Master of the universe to every creature, He demonstrates His greatness and His sovereignty. He granted His flow of prophecy to His treasured splendrous people. In Yisrael none like Moshe arose again – a prophet who perceived His vision clearly.

G-d gave His people a Torah of truth, by means of His prophet, the most trusted of His household. G-d will never amend nor exchange His law for any other one, for all eternity.

He scrutinizes and knows our hidden most secrets; He perceives a matter’s outcome at its inception. He recompenses man with kindness according to his deed; He places evil on the wicked according to his wickedness.

By the End of Days He will send our Mashiach, to redeem those longing for His final salvation.

G-d will revive the dead in His abundant kindness – Blessed forever is His praised Name.

This Prayer along with other studies in Torah, is what helped me to see clearly many miss teaching I had received before. I am very grateful to HaShem our Father for answering me when I called out to Him for Truth.

 Blessings of the Torah:

Why Blessings of the Torah?:

Before we begin the Study of the Torah a Blessing is done. In saying the Blessing we are for filling a mitzvah and Blessing HaShem of Glory and Truth’s beautiful Torah.  A Mitzvah is defined basically as:

  1. A commandment of the Jewish law.
  2. The fulfillment of such a commandment.
  3. A worthy deed.

I say these Blessings every morning during my morning prayers. And to ensure I am not leading others into to improper practices, I want to ensure I repeat the Blessings of HaShem Our Merciful Father’s Torah just incase others may not have yet had a chance today.

Blessings of the Torah:

Blessed are You, HaShem our God, King of the Universe, Who sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to be engrossed in the words of Torah.

HaShem our God, please make the words of Your Torah pleasant in our mouths and in the mouths of Your people Israel. And may we and our descendants [and the descendants of our descendants] and the descendants of Your people the House of Israel, all know Your Name and be students of Your Torah for its own sake. Blessed are You, HaShem Who teaches Torah to His people, Israel.

Blessed are You, HaShem our God, King of the Universe Who chose us from among all the peoples and gave us His Torah. Blessed are You, HaShem, Giver of the Torah!

Blessing before the reading of the Torah:

Bor’chu es ado-noy ha-m’voroch.
Bless the L-rd who is blessed.

Congregation and Oleh say:
Boruch ado-noy ha-m’voroch l’olom vo-ed.
Blessed be the L-rd who is blessed for all eternity.

Oleh continues:
Boruch atoh ado-noy elo-haynu melech ho-olom, asher bochar bonu mikol ha-amim, v’nosan lonu es toroso. Boruch atoh ado-noy, nosayn ha-toroh.
Blessed are You, L-rd our G‑d, King of the universe, who has chosen us from among all the nations and given us His Torah. Blessed are You L-rd, who gives the Torah.

Let us begin with today’s lesson!

 Devarim  (Vaetchanan)

Chapter 7 verses 1 thru 11

1 When Adonoy, your God, brings you into the land that you are coming there to inherit, He will cast out many nations from before you—the Chittites, the Girgashites and the Emorites, the Canaanites and the Perizites, the Chivites and the Yevusites—seven nations more numerous and more powerful than you.

Commentary:

A brief review with links for further reminder of who were these groups of “more powerful nations”.

The classes are linked in the Blog Post titled: Numbers ch 13: Twelve Spies Sent to Canaan. giants, DNA, and as in the Days of Noah.  In these Bible Studies we went into deep study of what exactly is thought those “seven nations more numerous and more powerful than you” were and the gods they worships, and the demonic death cultures they lived out.

Bible verses continued:

2 Adonoy, your God, will defeat them before you, and you will smite them. You must surely annihilate them. Do not make a treaty with them, and do not favor [show mercy on] them.

3 Do not marry them; do not give your daughter to his son, nor take his daughter for your son.

4 For he will turn your son away from Me [My service] and they will serve other gods [idols of the nations]; and Adonoy’s anger will be aroused against you and He will destroy you swiftly.

5 Rather, thus shall you do to them: raze their altars and smash their monuments, cut down their worship-trees and burn their statues [idols] in fire.

Commentary:

Define sacred trees- A sacred tree is a tree which is considered to be sacred, or worthy of spiritual respect or reverence. Such trees appear throughout world history in various cultures including the ancient Greek, Hindu mythology, Celtic and Germanic mythologies. They also continue to hold profound meaning in contemporary culture in places like Japan (shinboku), Korea (dangsan namu), India (bodhi tree), and the Philippines, among others. Tree worship is core part of religions which include aspects of animism as core elements of their belief, which is the eco-friendly belief that trees, forests, rivers, mountains, etc have a life force (‘anime’ i.e. alive) and need to be conserved and used in a sustainable manner.

In reading Rabbeinu Bahya, Devarim 7:25:1 of Torah Commentary by Rabbi Bachya ben Asher, trans. Eliyahu Munk, 1998. craved images– is suggested and explained as: in Devarim 7:25:

פסילי אלוהיהם תשרפון באש, לא תחמוד כסף וזהב עליהם ולקחת לך, “the images of their gods you shall burn by fire. Do not covet the silver or gold on those idols and do not take it for yourself!” The sages in Avodah Zarah 52 read this verse as follows: “if the silver and gold was meant i.e. cast for the idol, do not covet it, if, however it was (once) part of the idol itself (seeing the idol has been destroyed or neutralized, ולקחת לך you may take it for yourself.” This is because the word פסל may have one of two meanings. One meaning is that it is a molten or carved image, the idol itself; the other meaning of the word is related to פסולת, reject, that which is left over, no longer fit for its original purpose. This is why our verse may also refer to a situation where the rejects, the leftovers of an idol after it has been destroyed is permitted for further use, whereas the idol itself is, of course, totally forbidden for any use.

Amazing the Truth that still shines through today. right!

I sometimes forget what are items that are commonly worshipped by idolaters.

Now, let’s review again what is an

idolater, ī-dŏl′ə-tər
noun
One who worships idols.
One who blindly or excessively admires or adores another.
A worshiper of idols; one who pays divine honors to images, statues, or representations of anything; one who worships as a deity that which is not God.

From the definition of idolatry, most might be able to discern that almost anything or person can be “made” or “thought” of by another as an idol. Idols sadly into days times are commonly made  of celebrities. And now aa days with social media…. need I say anymore? I think not….

In addition to one making a person into an idol, one if uncheck could make food, music, vanity, pets and no on into idols as well.  I think sometimes we might not notice that we have made something into an idol until comforted with the cold hard truth that we simply do not want to be without or certain thing for any period of time. Or, that one might get angry or stressed out without a person or item. Some also might call thins an obsession or craving or addiction.

In agreement with Torah Word of G-D and Truth,….. the sure fire…hahaha pun intended … way to remove an idol is to destroy it completely and remove it from the ground, presents, location, or access to- of- with…. a person, place, or thing.

For some, the remove of an idol can lead to depression, angry, rage, or even a deep sense of lost identity. I caution others to take steps in removing idols from their own life.

I have gone through the process several times.. of removing idols.  And let me just say….. ouch.  Rebuilding after breakdown and removal of idol attachments or familiar spirits …..takes time. Or at least it has for me.

I will go into more example during Bible Study recording.

define break –
intransitive verb
To cause to separate into pieces suddenly or violently; smash.
To divide into pieces, as by bending or cutting.
To separate into components or parts.

define destroy-
intransitive verb
To break apart the structure of, render physically unusable, or cause to cease to exist as a distinguishable physical entity:
To put an end to; eliminate.
To render useless or ruin.

define smash-
intransitive verb
To break (something) into pieces suddenly, noisily, and violently; shatter. synonym: break.
To render (something) into a mush or pulp, as by throwing or crushing: synonym: crush.
To strike with a heavy blow or impact.

define cutdown-
noun
A reduction or decrease.
The surgical insertion of a catheter into a vein, as for the administration of intravenous medication.
An emergency medical procedure in which the vein is exposed and a cannula is inserted into it.

define burn (in fire)-
noun
A small stream; a brook.

Interesting fact: All the above techniques of destruction are also used in koshering an item.

Next verse:

6 For you are a holy people to Adonoy, your God; Adonoy, your God, chose you to be for Him a treasured people from all the peoples that are on the face of the earth.

Commentary:

Let’s look at some more definitions:

Define Holy-
adjective
Belonging to, derived from, or associated with a divine power; sacred.
Regarded with veneration or specified for a religious purpose.
Living or undertaken with highly moral or spiritual purpose; saintly.

Define people:
noun
Humans considered as a group or in indefinite numbers. Often treated as a plural of person, especially in compounds.
The mass of ordinary persons; the populace. Used with the.
A body of persons living in the same country under one national government; a nationality.

and closing into the remaining Bible verses:

7 Not because of the multitude your population beyond all peoples did Adonoy desire you and choose you; for you are the least of all the peoples.

8 Rather, out of Adonoy’s love for you and out of His keeping the oath that He swore to your forefathers did Adonoy take you out with a strong hand, and did He redeem you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.

9 You will know that Adonoy, your God, is the God, the trusted Almighty, who keeps the covenant and the kindliness for those who love Him and for those who keep His commandments, for a thousand generations.

10 And He pays His enemy [for the good that they have done before Him] to his face [in their lifetime] to destroy him. He does not delay [to do good] for His enemy [for the good that they have done before Him]—to his face [in their lifetime] does He pay him [them].

11 You are to guard the commandments and the statutes and the laws that I am commanding you today, to fulfill.

And with that the next Torah Portion of a Portion will be :

Eikev

Devarim

chapter 7 verse 12 thru chapter 11 verse 25

I do Pray others enjoyed these teachings. Please remember to like heart and share.

In-conclusion,

I am left with the same thoughts that I have had since Season 1.

Everyone has a choice… and everything has a choice.

Accept the Torah, turn from evil and do good, or even chose this day whom one shall serve.

In any case…. some will chose the Life in Torah with HaShem. and… sadly some will chose the sword.

OAmein and OAmein

Blessings after reading the Torah.

And  HaShem our G-D spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

“The L-d bless you and keep you;
The L-d make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The L-d lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”

Welcome, the following is a brief review of this Bible Study.

1. This BLOG post will have the resources and sources links for the Season 5 Bible Studies .

2. All Books used and Readings from during Live Bible Study can be found on Our

How we conduct Bible Studies here:

We believe in One and Only One G-D. HaShem; The G-D of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

We do not and will not Pray in any others name or Praise any other, but HaShem.

Exodus chapter 20: 2-14.

God spoke all these words, saying:

I the LORD am your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, the house of bondage:

You shall have no other gods besides Me.

You shall not make for yourself a sculptured image, or any likeness of what is in the heavens above, or on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them. For I the LORD your God am an impassioned God, visiting the guilt of the parents upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generations of those who reject Me,

but showing kindness to the thousandth generation of those who love Me and keep My commandments.

We believe G-D has called each of us to search matters out.

(It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
And the glory of a king to plumb a matter.

Like the heavens in their height, like the earth in its depth, Is the mind of kings—unfathomable.. Proverbs 25:2 -3)

This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks G-D’s Grace Bible Study, we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure.

We have been directed by G-D Wonderful and Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS Torah and Tanakh.

We believe as directed by G-D Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in Torah and Tanakh leads to understanding and wisdom; this shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man.

Learning, growing, and studying with OUR L-D is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time.

The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with G-D.

Proverbs 22: 4 thru 6

The effect of humility is fear of the LORD,
Wealth, honor, and life.

Thorns and snares are in the path of the crooked;
He who values his life will keep far from them.

Train a lad in the way he ought to go;
He will not swerve from it even in old age.

Ezekiel 18: 20 thru 22

The person who sins, he alone shall die. A child shall not share the burden of a parent’s guilt, nor shall a parent share the burden of a child’s guilt; the righteousness of the righteous shall be accounted to him alone, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be accounted to him alone.

Moreover, if the wicked one repents of all the sins that he committed and keeps all My laws and does what is just and right, he shall live; he shall not die.

None of the transgressions he committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness he has practiced, he shall live.

Is it my desire that a wicked person shall die?—says the L-d G-D. It is rather that he shall turn back from his ways and live.

May HaShem, Blessed be He continue to Bless us all and may we all be forever written in the Book of Life.

O’Amein and O’Amein

Alittle about me: I love HaShem, TORAH, and Tankh!!!!! I am not perfect!!!!

If we meet: We talking about Torah, drinking tea or coffee, and what books are out about HaShem! and maybe over some pizza… maybe over some steak…make over cake or on a bike during a hike, while riding on a train in the rain, but either way…..We’ll be talking about TORAH!!!!

What is import to me:……..A relationship with Our Father El Elohiym Elyon HaShem Our Merciful and Wise King, in Heaven, Torah, and Family.
