How we conduct Bible Studies here:

We believe GOD has called each of us to search matters out.

(The glorie of God is to conceale a thing secret: but the Kings honour is to search out a thing. Proverbs 25:2)

This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks GOD’s Grace Bible Study we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure.

We have been directed by GOD Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS GOoD News.

We believe as directed by GOD Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in CHRIST shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man.

(Luke 9 Then called he his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to heal diseases. And he sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to cure the sick.)  (Matthew 24 4And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Take heede that no man deceiue you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceiue many.)

Learning, growing, and studying with OUR LORD is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time.

(Matthew 6:6 But when thou prayest, enter into thy chamber and when thou hast shut thy doore, pray vnto thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret, shall rewarde thee openly.0

The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with GOD, CHRIST, and The HOLYSPIRIT.

1 Corinthians 3:8

He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Romans 12:6-8

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Ezekiel 18:20

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

3. Torah verses and Spiritual Teaching Notes

Bamidbar – Numbers Chapter 32

verse 1 The descendants of Reuben and Gad had an abundance of livestock very numerous and they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, and behold, the place was a place for livestock.

JAZER

ja’-zer (ya`zer or ya`zeyr; Septuagint Iazen in Codex Alexandrinus; Iazer): In some cases, e.g. Numbers 21:32, the King James Version reads “Jaazer.” This was a city of the Amorites East of the Jordan taken, along with its towns, by Moses, and occupied by the tribe of Gad (Numbers 21:32Numbers 32:35). The country was very fertile, and its spacious pasture-lands attracted the flock-masters of Gad (Numbers 32:1), the southern border of whose territory it marked (Joshua 13:25). It was assigned to the Merarite Levites (Joshua 21:39 1 Chronicles 6:81). The place was reached by Joab when taking the census (2 Samuel 24:5). In the 40th year of King David mighty men of valor were found here to whom he entrusted the oversight in Reuben and Gad “for every matter pertaining to God, and run the affairs of the king” (1 Chronicles 26:32 f). The fruitfulness of the country is alluded to in Isaiah 16:8 f; Jeremiah 48:32. (Note: “Sea of” Jazer in this verse has arisen through accidental repetition of yam, “sea,” from the preceding clause.) The city was taken from the Ammonites by Judas Maccabeus, and burned (1 Maccabees 5:7, 8; Ant, XII, viii, 1).

Gilead meaning hill of testimony, ( Genesis 31:21 ), a mountainous region east of Jordan. From its mountainous character it is called “the mount of Gilead” ( Genesis 31:25 ). It is called also “the land of Gilead” ( Numbers 32:1 ), and sometimes simply “Gilead” ( Psalms 60:7 ; Genesis 37:25 ).

What is the biblical significance of the land of Gilead?

What is the biblical significance of the land of GileadGilead is the mountainous region, located in modern day Jordan, east of the Jordan River extending south from Lake Gennesaret (in the north) to the north end of the Dead Sea (in the south). During Bible times, Gilead was bounded on the north by Bashan and on the south by Moab and Ammon.

GENNESARET gĕ nĕs’ ə rət (Γεννησαρέτ, G1166). A small plain located on the W side of the Sea of Galilee. gennesaret meaning garden

1. Name. The name Gennesaret should be associated primarily with the area mentioned in two NT references (Matthew 14:22Mark 6:45). After feeding the 5,000, Jesus’ disciples crossed over the Sea of Galilee to Bethsaida (6:45), then crossed back again (6:53) and came to land at Gennesaret. Sometimes, however, the name is not restricted to the district, for Luke speaks of the lake of Gennesaret (Luke 5:1), referring to the Sea of Galilee (cf. 1 Maccabees 11:67, Jos., Antiq. XVIII. ii. 1; War III. x. 7). Also referred to as Sea of Chinnereth (Numbers 34:11), the Sea of Tiberias (John 6:1).

I have often talked about I believe GOD’s time line is vertical vice horizontal.  I believe in the Spiritual time line, everything that was ever going to happen at a location for all time happened in the past, present, and already happened in the future.  I believe we do have feel will over course, but I believe that free will has limits.  The limit might be GOD stopping something from happening. Or, GOD sending a sudden break through of help during an hour of despair.  I believe in the Spiritual time line… certain locations such as Gennesaret; the events happen all at the same time, just different years and or seasons. In either case the Sea of Gennesaret is a very important location during Old Testament time and New Testament.

This Genneesart is the same sea location where Yeshua did many miracles including:

Matthew chapter 14 Wycliffe Bible

22 And at once [And anon] Jesus compelled the disciples to go up into a boat, and [to] go before him over the sea, while he let go the people [till that he left the companies].

23 And when the people was let go, he ascended alone into an hill to pray[a]. But when the evening was come, he was there alone.

24 And the boat in the middle of the sea was shogged with waves, for the wind was contrary. [Forsooth the boat in the midst of the sea was thrown with waves, for the wind was contrary.]

25 But in the fourth waking of the night, he came to them walking on the sea.

26 And they, seeing him walking on the sea, were disturbed, and said [were distroubled, saying], That it is a phantom; and for dread they cried.

27 And at once Jesus spake to them, and said [And anon Jesus spake to them, saying], Have ye trust, I am; do not ye dread.

28 And Peter answered, and said, Lord, if thou art, command me to come to thee on [upon] the waters.

29 And he said, Come thou. And Peter went down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.

30 But he saw the wind strong, and was afeared; and when he began to drown, he cried, and said [saying], Lord, make me safe.

31 And at once Jesus held forth his hand, and took Peter [And anon Jesus, holding forth his hand, caught him], and said to him, Thou of little faith, why hast thou doubted?

32 And when he had ascended into the boat, the wind ceased.

33 And they, that were in the boat, came, and worshipped him, and said [saying], Verily, thou art God’s Son.

The Sihon area is another region that was fought over and for several times in history.  Let’s review some facts and definitions.

Definition of the name Sihon:

Amoritic king of the east-Jordan country, whose kingdom extended from the Arnon in the south to the Jabbok in the north, and from the Jordan in the west to the desert in the east.  The Desert of Arabah, between the Jabbok and the Sea of Galilee, was included in Sihon’s territory. His capital was Heshbon, which he had captured from the King of Moab. He was also the suzerain (A nation that controls another nation in international affairs but allows it domestic sovereignty. A feudal lord to whom fealty was due. A feudal lord or baron; a lord paramount. Also used attributively.) of Midian, the five Midianitish kings, finally slain by the Israelites  being his vassals .

In Rabbinical Literature:

Sihon was the brother of Og, and both were grandsons of the fallen angel Shamḥazai (Niddah 61a).

In 1 Enoch, the sons of God are the “sons of heaven,” angelic beings led by Shemihazah. The name Shemihazah (שׁמיחזה, šemîḥăzāh) means “My name has seen” and is sometimes vocalized as Semyaz of Semyaza (Nickelsburg, 179).

The complete Book of Enoch Standard version: Chapter 3 Fallen Angels 1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.  And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: “Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.”  And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: “I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.”

Chapter 3 Fallen Angels  4 And they all answered him and said: “Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.” 5 Then sware they all together and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon (meaning snowy mountain), and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it.

Chapter 3 Fallen Angels 6 And these are the names of their leaders: Samlazaz, their leader, Araklba, Rameel, Kokablel, Tamlel, Ramlel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqijal, Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaqlel, Samsapeel, Satarel, Turel, Jomjael, Sariel. These are their chiefs of tens.

Chapter 3 Fallen Angels 7 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them. 8 And they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. 9 And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.

Bestiality begins:

Why? Because some of the fallen angels resemble beast of the wild, field, and cattle. maybe? maybe not? But, who knows why perverse people or things or fallen angels do perverse things…

Chapter 3 Fallen Angels 10 And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones. 11 And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. 12 And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. 13 Semjaza taught enchantments and root−cuttings, Armaros the resolving of enchantments, Baraqijal taught astrology, Kokabel the constellations, Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiel the signs of the earth, Shamsiel the signs of the sun, and Sariel the course of the moon. 14 And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven.

End Book of Enoch Chapter 3 Fallen Angels  cross reference.

And this is why GOD sent a flood, but saved Noah and his family. DNA corruption….sound familiar?

Let’s review some of these giant’s off spring again,  refreshing our memories leading to the coming war chapters.

Definition of OG: Og was one of the giants of the remnant of the Rephaim. His iron bedstead in Rabbath, the capital of Ammon, is described as having been nine cubits in length and four cubits in breadth.

We reviewed the corruption of mans DNA in some earlier seasons of the Bible Study, as well as this season. Titles are hyper linked below.

Continuing on Numbers chapter 32 verse

Numbers 32 verse 2 The descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben came, and they spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the kohen and to the princes of the community, saying,

Numbers 32 verses 4 thru 8 the land that the Lord struck down before the congregation of Israel is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.”
They said, “If it pleases you, let this land be given to your servants as a heritage; do not take us across the Jordan.”
[Thereupon,] Moses said to the descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben, “Shall your brethren go to war while you stay here?
Why do you discourage the children of Israel from crossing over to the land which the Lord has given them?
This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh barnea to explore the Land.

Kadesh or Qadesh sounds familiar? If might this means Spirit or spirit. What is the difference in cases? Well, the source.

Let’s review some definitions….

Kadesh-barnea,  or Qadesh-barnea Strong’s 6947 from same as 6946= 6945 opposite of 6942. 6945 being  a male devotee by prostitution to licentious idolatry- a sodomite, unclean, one who by unclean sexual acts invoke or manifest demonic spirits that inhabit their person with each demonic invoking sexual unclean act.

6942 meaning clean moral, consecrate, dedicate, hallowed, kept, holy, prepared, proclaim, purify, one self and therefore the acts out of ones motivating heart.

6947 is also correspondent to 1251 which corresponds to 1250 which mean field. Specifically, a corn or wheat field. 6947 is also and a derivative of 5128 meaning desert of a fugitive, a wilderness wonderer or wandering. 5128 means to waver, fugitive, to move up and down, to remove to scatter, and be as a vagabond or a up and down wonderer..

If review the definitions and putting into the context of the events that took place in Numbers ch 25: The Conclusion of balaam’s shame and The Beginning of Israel’s Glory and Numbers 21: From Kadesh to Jordan…. and the beat goes on… and 38 years later: Numbers ch 20 Finally heading to Cannan… but first… this make me wonder some additional things regarding the spies that were sent out by Moses and what possible events took place while those spies were “traveling or spying”. I believe one of the reasons balaam knew that the men of Israel would fall into harlotry with the Moabites and Midianites was because it had happened before. I believe ten of the twelve spies did not continue on the assignment to spy the land because they were engaged in immoral, idolatry, sexually perverse acts with the Moabites and Midianites women. They did not want their evil deeds to be discovered, therefore they possibly made a pact to lie, slander, and discourage the rest of the Nation of Israel from moving forward to conquer the Promise Land.  Sure, there in fact was giants in the land, but the Nation of Israel was no stranger to fighting giants. In fact the Nation of Israel fight battle after leaving Egypt by the Power of Almighty GOD, was with giants in Exodus ch 17 Geneva Bible 1560 Bible Study & Halley’s Handbook, & Torah Spiritual Teaching.  GOD had them conquer the as it was recorded:

The Defeat of the Amalekites, Geneva Bible of 1587, Exodus 17 verses 8 through 15

Then came Amalek and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses sayde to Ioshua, Chuse vs out men, and go fight with Amalek: to morowe I will stande on the toppe of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So Ioshua did as Moses bad him, & fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur, went vp to the top of the hill. And when Moses helde vp his hande, Israel preuailed: but when he let his hande downe, Amalek preuailed. Nowe Moses handes were heauy: therefore they tooke a stone and put it vnder him, and hee sate vpon it: and Aaron and Hur stayed vp his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side: so his hands were steady vntill the going downe of the sunne. 13And Ioshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

And the Lorde sayde to Moses, Write this for a remembrance in the booke, and rehearse it to Ioshua: for I will vtterly put out the remembraunce of Amalek from vnder heauen. (And Moses builte an altar and called the name of it, Iehouah-nissi) Also he said, The Lord hath sworne, that he will haue warre with Amalek from generation to generation.

Now could my conclusion or thoughts or leading from the LORD be incorrect or far reaching; perhaps.

But, one can always confirm with GOD; so please do. In either case, some thing evil went on with those 10 spies. There could be several possibilities, but I believe balaam through his witching and sorcery knew and therefore communicated this evil to Balak the King of the Moab and this is what lead to all those involved with these evils down falls. See, the devil can’t tell the future. The devil, satan, lucifer.. who we Rebuke in YESHUA’s Great and Wonderful Name… can only guess what trap or temptation might… might … I say might be successful based of transgressions of ones past.  This is why JESUS tells us to flee from evil and GOD will never give or allow us to be tempted past our strength to resist. And I know some don’t believe this, but GOD does in fact allow us to be tested or tempted.  There are a variety of reason why GOD allows trails, or testings, or temptations , but often they are allowed by GOD to strengthen, prepare, or review us before the next season or promotion in ones life, or to prepare for a greater battle later.  Every one who ever did great deeds for the Glory of Our and the Only Living GOD; received a temptation, testing, or trail. Don’t believe me…. ask JESUS. This worldly view that GOD does not test us or allow temptations to take place is a false teaching from those who sale snake oil. For more references please click these links, Pray, Talk to YESHUA, and such out the matter. Amen and Amen.

Numbers 32 verse 9 They went up to the Valley of Eshkol and saw the land, and they discouraged the children of Israel from crossing into the land which the Lord has given them.

Eshkol, or Eshcol is Strong’s 812 and 811, which means a bunch or grapes or fruit cluster, but also is a valley in Palestine, and so happens to be the name of an Amorite.

10 The anger of the Lord flared on that day, and He swore, saying,
11’None of the men from the age of twenty years and over who came out of Egypt will see the land that I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, for they did not follow Me wholeheartedly,
12except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizite and Joshua the son of Nun, for they followed the Lord wholeheartedly.’
13The anger of the Lord flared against Israel, and He made them wander in the desert for forty years until the entire generation who had done evil in the eyes of the Lord had died out.
14And behold, you have now risen in place of your fathers as a society of sinful people, to add to the wrathful anger of the Lord against Israel.
15If you turn away from following Him, He will leave you in the desert again, and you will destroy this entire people.”

What I believe most likely happened…

That whole Nation of Israel Men had sadly been exposed to many different evils, corruptions, and unclean lifestyles while in Egypt. I believe, that in order for the Nation of Israel to survive, Almighty GOD had to make what must have been a very difficult decision…….delay…or the Bible states often tarry.  See, is the generation that had be exposed to or even maybe engaged in the abomination life styles as in Egypt were allowed by GOD to enter into the Promise Land….. that soil would have been defile to an even greater degree.

But, by GOD delaying the Blessings from taken place, an unclean or perverse, or immature, or corrupted generation would pass away thus allowing the mature, pure, strengthened, wholly, uncorrupted both in Spirit and in DNA, and courage generation to move forward into Promise.

Habakkuk 2 Geneva Bible of 1587

The LORD Answers Again
1I will stand vpon my watch, and set me vpon the towre, and wil looke and see what he would say vnto mee, and what I shall answere to him that rebuketh me.
2And the Lorde answered me, and sayde, Write the vision, and make it plaine vpon tables, that he may runne that readeth it.
3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the last it shal speake, and not lie: though it tarie, waite: for it shall surely come, and shall not stay.
4Beholde, he that lifteth vp himselfe, his minde is not vpright in him, but the iust shal liue by his fayth,

In the case of the Nation of Israel the Promise tarried…so the Nation could be purified, cleanse, redeemed, and saved. After the Nation of Israel was properly prepared and then they went into the Promise Lands, as we’ll read later; yes, there were battles, but the lands healed. Even if it was a temporary healing. That temporary healing needed to take place, because all the times and seasons everyone has including the lands is to prepare…for the True Promise… and Promise Land.

Revelation 21 verses 1 thru 8, 1599 Geneva Bible

And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth: for the first heaven, and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city new Jerusalem come down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride trimmed for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them: and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be their God with them.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, neither crying, neither shall there be anymore pain: for the first things are passed.
And he that sat upon the throne, said, Behold, I make all things new, and he said unto me, Write: for these things are faithful and true.
And he said unto me, [e]It is done, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end: I will give to him that is athirst, of the well of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh, shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my Son.
But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Amen and Amen

Numbers chapter 32 verses 16 thru 33 They approached him and said, “We will build sheepfolds for our livestock here and cities for our children.
We will then arm ourselves quickly [and go] before the children of Israel until we have brought them to their place. Our children will reside in the fortified cities on account of the inhabitants of the land.
We shall not return to our homes until each of the children of Israel has taken possession of his inheritance.
For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on the east bank of the Jordan.”
Moses said to them, “If you do this thing, if you arm yourselves for battle before the Lord,
and your armed force crosses the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven out His enemies before Him,
and the Land will be conquered before the Lord, afterwards you may return, and you shall be freed [of your obligation] from the Lord and from Israel, and this land will become your heritage before the Lord.
But, if you do not do so, behold, you will have sinned against the Lord, and be aware of your sin which will find you.
So build yourselves cities for your children and enclosures for your sheep, and what has proceeded from your mouth you shall do.”
The descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, “Your servants will do as my master commands.
Our children and our wives, our livestock and our cattle will remain there, in the cities of Gilead.
But your servants will cross over all who are armed for combat before the Lord, for the battle, as my master has spoken.”
Moses commanded Eleazar the kohen and Joshua the son of Nun and all the paternal heads of the tribes of the children of Israel concerning them.
Moses said to them, “If the descendants of Gad and Reuben cross the Jordan with you armed for battle before the Lord, and the Land is conquered before you, you shall give them the land of Gilead as a heritage.
But if they do not cross over with you armed [for battle], they shall receive a possession among you in the land of Canaan.”
The descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben answered, saying, “We shall do as the Lord has spoken to your servants.
We shall cross over in an armed force before the Lord to the land of Canaan, and then we shall have the possession of our inheritance on this side of the Jordan.”
Moses gave the descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben and half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og, king of Bashan the land together with its cities within borders, the cities of the surrounding territory.

41 Jair the son of Manasseh went and conquered their hamlets (small villages), and called them the hamlets of Jair (Strong’s 2971 meaning from 215b meaning enlightener). Jair had no children therefore he memorialized his name through the villages he conquered.

42 Nobah went and conquered Kenath (Strong’s 7079 from7069 meaning possession)  and its surrounding villages, and called it Nobah (Strong’s 5025 from 5024 meaning to bark as in a dog bark or barking dog or a reason f which cause a dog to bark), after his name.

3Your southernmost corner shall be from the desert of Zin along Edom, and the southern border shall be from the edge of the Sea of Salt [the Dead Sea] to the east.

We first reviewed the desert of Zin and the evil spirits over that region in Numbers ch 10:They set forward to the Promise Land. Silver Trumpets Blown.  We discussed also GOD order of War and the War Scroll for those that are interested to check out that Bible Study.

Numbers chapter 34 verses 4 thru 12 The border then turns south of Maaleh Akrabim [elevation of Akrabim], passing toward Zin, and its ends shall be to the south of Kadesh barnea. Then it shall extend to Hazar addar and continue toward Azmon.
The border then turns from Azmon to the stream of Egypt, and its ends shall be to the sea.
The western border: it shall be for you the Great [Mediterranean] Sea and the border this shall be your western border.
This shall be your northern border: From the Great [Mediterranean] Sea turn yourselves toward Mount Hor.
From Mount Hor turn to the entrance of Hamath, and the ends of the border shall be toward Zedad.
The border shall then extend to Ziphron, and its ends shall be Hazar enan; this shall be your northern border.
You shall then turn yourselves toward the eastern border, from Hazar enan to Shepham.
The border descends from Shepham toward Riblah, to the east of Ain. Then the border descends and hits the eastern shore of Lake Kinnereth.
The border then continues down along the Jordan, and its ends is the Sea of Salt [the Dead Sea]; this shall be your Land according to its borders around.

Reviewing the text and looking at the map, it does not really seem like too much land of inheritance. Not speaking evil or putting down GOD’s Love for Israel, but compared to the vastness of the world and land…..this inheritance does not seem like very much.  I point this out to ask and wonder why the UN is set on destroying what is left of Israel today. The map to the far right on this BLOG shows that land that the state of Israel has been reduced. Israel is completely surrounded by enemies and corrupt evil that in my opinion are workers of the anti-christ that plot day in and out, on how to vex GOD’s people.  It is so very sad.  The Nation of Israel existing today after so many genocides throughout history is a testimony of GOD’s Strong hand over HIS people, but also a Proverb of what happens when a nation turns away from HaShem.

Remaining text of Numbers chapter 34 verses 13 thru 29

Moses commanded the children of Israel saying, “This is the Land which you are to apportion for inheritance through lot, that the Lord has commanded to give to the nine and a half tribes.
For the tribe of Reuben’s descendants according to their fathers’ house, and the tribe of Gad’s descendants according to their fathers’ house, and half the tribe of Manasseh have already received their inheritance.
The two and a half tribes have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan, near Jericho in the east, toward the sunrise.”
The Lord spoke to Moses saying:
These are the names of the men who shall inherit the land on your behalf: Eleazar the kohen and Joshua the son of Nun.
You shall take one chieftain from each tribe to [help you to] acquire the land.
These are the names of the men: for the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
For the tribe of the descendants of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud.
For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
The chieftain for the tribe of the descendants of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.
For the descendants of Joseph; the chieftain for the tribe of the descendants of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
The chieftain for the tribe of the descendants of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
The chieftain for the tribe of the descendants of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
The chieftain for the tribe of the descendants of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
The chieftain for the tribe of the descendants of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
The chieftain of the tribe of the descendants of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.
These are the ones whom the Lord commanded to apportion the inheritance to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Bamidbar – Numbers – Chapter 35

verses 1-8 The 48 Levitical Cities Commanded

The Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan at Jericho saying:
Command the children of Israel that they shall give to the Levites from their hereditary possession cities in which to dwell, and you shall give the Levites open spaces around the cities.
These cities shall be theirs for dwelling, and their open spaces shall be for their cattle, their property, and for all their needs.
The areas of open space for the cities which you shall give to the Levites shall extend from the wall of the city outward, one thousand cubits all around.
You shall measure from outside the city, two thousand cubits on the eastern side, two thousand cubits on the southern side, two thousand cubits on the western side, and two thousand cubits on the northern side, with the city in the middle; this shall be your cities’ open spaces.
Among the cities you shall give to the Levites, shall be six cities of refuge, which you shall provide [as places] to which a murderer can flee. In addition to them, you shall provide forty two cities.
All the cities you shall give to the Levites shall number forty eight cities, them with their open spaces.
And as for the cities that you shall give from the possession of the children of Israel, you shall take more from a larger [holding] and you shall take less from a smaller one. Each one, according to the inheritance allotted to him, shall give of his cities to the Levites.

Bamidbar – Numbers – Chapter 35 verses 9 thru 34 Cities of Refuge

I prefer the translation of the Torah for this portion of the Bible Study, therefore I want us to read what the text says.

The Lord spoke to Moses saying:
Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, When you cross the Jordan to the land of Canaan,
you shall designate cities for yourselves; they shall be cities of refuge for you, and a murderer who killed a person unintentionally shall flee there.
These cities shall serve you as a refuge from an avenger, so that the murderer shall not die until he stands in judgment before the congregation.
The cities that you provide shall serve as six cities of refuge for you.
You shall provide the three cities in trans Jordan and the three cities in the land of Canaan; they shall be cities of refuge.

These six cities shall be a refuge for the children of Israel and for the proselyte and resident among them, so that anyone who unintentionally kills a person can flee there.
If he struck him with an iron instrument and he dies, he is a murderer, and the murderer shall be put to death.
If he struck him with a fist sized stone which is deadly, and he dies, he is a murderer, and the murderer shall be put to death.
Or with a fist sized wooden instrument which is deadly, and he dies, he is a murderer, and the murderer shall be put to death.

The blood avenger shall kill the murderer; he may kill him when he meets him.
If, out of hatred, he pushed him, or threw something at him with premeditation, and he died,
or if he maliciously struck him with his hand and he died, the assailant shall be put to death; he is a murderer; the blood avenger may kill the murderer when he meets him.
But if he pushed him accidentally, without malice, or threw an object at him without premeditation,
or, with any stone which is deadly, and without seeing [his victim] he threw it down at him and it killed him, but he was not his enemy and bore him no malice
Then the congregation shall judge between the assailant and the blood avenger, on the basis of these judgments.

The congregation shall protect the murderer from the hand of the blood avenger, and the congregation shall return him to the city of refuge to which he had fled, and he shall remain there until the Kohen Gadol, who anointed him with the sacred oil, dies.
But if the murderer goes beyond the border of the city of refuge to which he had fled,
and the blood avenger finds him outside the limits of his city of refuge, and the blood avenger slays the murderer, he has no blood.
For he shall remain in his city of refuge until the Kohen Gadol dies, and only after the Kohen Gadol has died, may the murderer return to the land which is his possession.

These shall be for you a statute of justice for all your generations, in all your dwelling places.
Whoever [namely the blood avenger] kills a person, based on the testimony of witnesses, he shall slay the murderer. A single witness may not testify against a person so that he should die.
You shall not accept ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, for he shall be put to death.

You shall not accept ransom for one who has fled to his city of refuge, to allow him to return to live in the Land, before the kohen has died.
And you shall not corrupt the land in which you live, for the blood corrupts the land, and the blood which is shed in the land cannot be atoned for except through the blood of the one who shed it.
And you shall not defile the land where you reside, in which I dwell, for I am the Lord Who dwells among the children of Israel.

Bamidbar – Numbers – Chapter 36

The paternal heads of the family of the sons of Gilead the son of Machir the son of Manasseh of the families of the sons of Joseph approached and spoke before Moses and before the chieftains, the paternal heads of the children of Israel.

They said, “The Lord commanded my master to give the Land as an inheritance through lot to the children of Israel, and our master was commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother to his daughters.

Now, if they marry a member of another tribe of the children of Israel, their inheritance will be diminished from the inheritance of our father, and it will be added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they marry, and thus, it will be diminished from the lot of our inheritance.

Even if the children of Israel will have a Jubilee, their inheritance will be added to the inheritance of the tribe into which they marry, and their inheritance will be diminished from the inheritance of our father’s tribe.”

Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the Lord, saying, “The tribe of Joseph’s descendants speak justly.

This is the word that the Lord has commanded regarding Zelophehad’s daughters. Let them marry whomever they please, but they shall marry only to the family of their father’s tribe.

Thus, the inheritance of the children of Israel will not be transferred from tribe to tribe, for each person from the children of Israel will remain attached to the inheritance of his father’s tribe.

Every daughter from the tribes of the children of Israel who inherits property, shall marry a member of her father’s tribe, so each one of the children of Israel shall inherit the property of his forefathers.

And no inheritance will be transferred from one tribe to another tribe, for each person of the tribes of the children of Israel shall remain attached to his own inheritance.”

As the Lord had commanded Moses, so did Zelophehad’s daughters do.

Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Noah married their cousins.

They married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained with the tribe of their father’s family.

These are the commandments and the ordinances that the Lord commanded the children of Israel through Moses in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan at Jericho.

Bava Barta 120aexplains further the importance of discussing manners of inheritance.

לְהַלָּן מְנָאָן הַכָּתוּב דֶּרֶךְ גְּדוּלָּתָן וְכָאן דֶּרֶךְ חׇכְמָתָן מְסַיְּיעָא לֵיהּ לְרַבִּי אַמֵּי דְּאָמַר רַבִּי אַמֵּי בִּישִׁיבָה הַלֵּךְ אַחַר חׇכְמָה בִּמְסִיבָּה הַלֵּךְ אַחַר זִקְנָה אָמַר רַב אָשֵׁי וְהוּא דְּמַפְלַיג בְּחׇכְמָה וְהוּא דְּמַפְלַיג בְּזִקְנָה § The Gemara returns to discuss Zelophehad’s daughters: Later on, the verse lists them according to their age, stating: “For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married” (Numbers 36:11), and here the verse lists them in a different order, according to their wisdom: “And these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah” (Numbers 27:1). This supports the ruling of Rabbi Ami, as Rabbi Ami says: In the context of sitting in judgment or learning Torah, follow the participants’ wisdom in determining the seating, so that the wisest is granted the highest honor, and in the context of reclining for a meal, follow the participants’ age. Rav Ashi says: And this is so only when one is outstanding in wisdom, then wisdom trumps age; and this is so only when one of the participants is outstanding in age, i.e., particularly old, then age trumps wisdom.

The Gemara cites an alternative opinion: The school of Rabbi Yishmael taught: The daughters of Zelophehad were equal in stature, as it is stated: “For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were [vatihyena] married.” The word “vatihyena” demonstrates: There was one uniform existence [havaya], i.e., spiritual level, for all of them.

אָמַר רַב יְהוּדָה אָמַר שְׁמוּאֵל בְּנוֹת צְלָפְחָד הוּתְּרוּ לְהִנָּשֵׂא לְכׇל הַשְּׁבָטִים שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר לַטּוֹב בְּעֵינֵיהֶם תִּהְיֶינָה לְנָשִׁים אֶלָּא מָה אֲנִי מְקַיֵּים אַךְ לְמִשְׁפַּחַת מַטֵּה אֲבִיהֶם תִּהְיֶינָה לְנָשִׁים עֵצָה טוֹבָה הִשִּׂיאָן הַכָּתוּב שֶׁלֹּא יִנָּשְׂאוּ אֶלָּא לְהָגוּן לָהֶן § Rav Yehuda says that Shmuel says: The daughters of Zelophehad were permitted to marry members of any of the tribes, as it is stated: “Let them be married to whom they think best” (Numbers 36:6). But how do I realize the meaning of the continuation of the same verse: “Only into the family of the tribe of their father shall they be married” (Numbers 36:6), according to which they were permitted to marry only members of their own tribe? The verse offered them good advice, that they should be married only to those fit for them, who were often men from within the family.

The baraita continues: For the fathers, the verse states: “And every daughter who possesses an inheritance from the tribes of the children of Israel, shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father” (Numbers 36:8). This mitzva, that the woman should marry a member of her own tribe, applied only to the first generation that received tribal portions of Eretz Yisrael. And, by contrast, there were many mitzvot, e.g., all the mitzvot that applied only from the time that Eretz Yisrael was settled, which the sons were commanded to fulfill but which the fathers were not commanded to fulfill. Because there are mitzvot for the fathers that are not for the sons, and there are mitzvot for the sons that are not for the fathers, the verse needed to state, i.e., to address, the fathers, and it needed to state, i.e., to address, the sons.

Rabba states his objection: In any event, the baraita teaches: For the fathers, the verse states: “And every daughter who possesses an inheritance from the tribes of the children of Israel, shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father.” This indicates that this was a mitzva for that entire generation, including Zelophehad’s daughters, in contrast to the statement of Shmuel. The Gemara explains: He, Rabba, raised the objection, and he resolved it: This mitzva applied to everyone except for the daughters of Zelophehad, who were explicitly permitted to marry members of any tribe.

The Master says in the baraita cited above: For the fathers, the verse states: “And every daughter who possesses an inheritance from the tribes of the children of Israel, shall be wife to one of the family of the tribe of her father.” For the fathers, yes, this is the mitzva, but for the sons, it is not so. The Gemara asks: From where may it be inferred? Rava said that the verse states there: “This is the matter that the Lord has commanded” (Numbers 36:6), meaning: This matter will not be practiced except in this generation.

Rabba Zuti said to Rav Ashi: If that is so, then concerning the phrase “this is the matter” written with regard to an offering slaughtered outside the Tabernacle (see Leviticus 17:2–3), so too, is it the halakha that it will not be practiced except in this generation? Certainly that is not so, as that prohibition applies in all generations. What is the difference between the two passages? Rav Ashi answered: It is different there, with regard to offerings slaughtered outside the Tabernacle or Temple, as it is written: “Throughout their generations” (Leviticus 17:7), indicating that the prohibition is in effect in all generations.

120b

Rabba Zuti asked Rav Ashi about another instance of the same phrase. In the case of “this is the matter” written with regard to the heads of the tribes, in the introductory verse to the halakhot of vows: “And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying: This is the matter that the Lord has commanded” (Numbers 30:2), is it also the case that the halakhot of vows will not be practiced except in this generation? Rav Ashi said to him: The halakha in that case, that of vows, is derived through a verbal analogy between the word “this” stated here, in the verse discussing vows, and the word “this” stated there, in the verse discussing offerings slaughtered outside the Tabernacle or Temple, which is applicable in all generations.

The Gemara asks: This halakha, concerning the daughter inheriting her father’s portion, let it be derived through a verbal analogy between the word “this” stated here, with regard to inheritance, and the word “this” stated there, in the verse discussing offerings, as well. The Gemara rejects that comparison: What is this suggestion? Granted, there, i.e., with regard to offerings slaughtered outside the Tabernacle or Temple and with regard to vows, the phrase “this is the matter” was necessary for deriving other halakhot through a verbal analogy, as will be explained later. Therefore, the term may also be employed to teach that the halakha applies in all generations. But here, with regard to a daughter’s inheritance, for what other halakha was this phrase necessary? If the halakha truly applies for posterity, let the verse be silent and refrain from addressing when this halakha applies by not stating “this is the matter,” and I would know that it is for all generations, as is the case with all other mitzvot.

THE HAFTARH FOR MASEL is Jeremiah 2: 4-28, 3:4, 4:1-2; for those reading on a Sabbath

Jeremiah 2: 4 Hearken to the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel.

So says the Lord: What wrong did your forefathers find in Me, that they distanced themselves from Me, and they went after futility and themselves became futile?

And they did not say, “Where is the Lord, Who brought us up from the land of Egypt, Who led us in the desert, in a land of plains and pits, in a land of waste and darkness, in a land where no man had passed and where no man had dwelt.

And I brought you to a forest land to eat of its produce and its goodness, and you came and contaminated My land, and made My heritage an abomination.

The priests did not say, “Where is the Lord?” And those who hold onto the Torah did not know Me and the rulers rebelled against Me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal and followed what does not avail.

Therefore, I will still contend with you, says the Lord, and with your children’s children will I contend.

For pass over [to] the isles of the Kittites and see, and send to Kedar and consider diligently, and see whether there was any such thing,

Whether a nation exchanged a god although they are not gods. Yet My nation exchanged their glory for what does not avail.

Oh heavens, be astonished about this, and storm, become very desolate, says the Lord.

For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me, the spring of living waters, to dig for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that do not hold water.

Is Israel a slave? Is he a home-born slave? Why has he become a prey?

Young lions roar over him: they have raised their voice, and they have made his land a desolation; his cities were burnt without an inhabitant.

Also the children of Noph and Tahpanhes will break your crown.

Is not this caused to you by your forsaking the Lord your God at the time He leads you by the way?

And now, what have you to do in the way of Egypt to drink the water of the Shihor and what have you to do in the way of Assyria to drink the water of the river?

Your evil will chastise you, and your backslidings will reprove you, and you shall know and see that your forsaking the Lord your God is evil and bitter, and fear of Me was not upon you, says the Lord God of Hosts.

For of old I broke your yoke, I tore open your yoke-bands, and you said, “I will not transgress,” but on every lofty hill and under every leafy tree, you recline as a harlot.

Yet I planted you a noble vine stock, throughout of right seed; now how have you turned yourself into a degenerate wild vine to Me?

For if you wash with natron and use much soap, your iniquity is stained before Me, says the Lord God.

How do you say, “I have not been defiled; I have not gone after the Baalim”? See your way in the valley, know what you have done, [like] a swift young she-camel, clinging to her ways.

A wild donkey accustomed to the desert, that snuffs up the wind in her desire, her tendency like the sea creatures, who can hinder her? All who seek her will not weary; in her month they will find her.

Withhold your foot from going barefoot and your throat from thirst; but you said, “I despair. No, for I love strangers, and I will follow them.”

As the shame of a thief when he is found out, so have the house of Israel been ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets.

They say to the wood, “You are my father,” and to the stone, “You bore us,” for they turned to Me their nape and not their face, and at the time of their misfortune they say, “Arise and save us. “

Now where are your gods that you have made for yourself; let them get up if they will save you at the time of your misfortune, for as many as your cities were your gods, O Judea.

Jeremiah Chapter 3: 4Will you not from this time call me, “My Father, You the Master of my youth.”

Jeremiah Chapter 3: 1If you return, O Israel, says the Lord, to Me, you shall return, and if you remove your detestable things from My Presence, you shall not wander.

2And you will swear, “As the Lord lives,” in truth and in justice and in righteousness, nations will bless themselves with him and boast about him.

The Priestly Blessing

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”

In Yeshua HaMashiach Mighty Glorious Name.

Forever and Ever

Welcome the following is a brief review of this Bible Study. 1. This BLOG post will have the resources and sources links for the Season 5 Bible Studies . 2. All Books used and Readings from during Live Bible Study can be found on Our Website: Marie Speaks GOD’s Grace. Live in the Season 5 portion of the website. 3. After Live Bible Studies have completed: I will upload to Rumble, and post link in this BLOG. How we conduct Bible Studies here: We believe G-D has called each of us to search matters out. (It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, And the glory of a king to plumb a matter. Like the heavens in their height, like the earth in its depth, Is the mind of kings—unfathomable.. Proverbs 25:2 -3) This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks G-D’s Grace Bible Study, we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure. We have been directed by G-D Wonderful and Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS Torah and Tanakh. We believe as directed by G-D Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in Torah and Tanakh leads to understanding and wisdom; this shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man. Learning, growing, and studying with OUR L-D is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time. The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with G-D. Proverbs 22: 4 thru 6 The effect of humility is fear of the LORD, Wealth, honor, and life. Thorns and snares are in the path of the crooked; He who values his life will keep far from them. Train a lad in the way he ought to go; He will not swerve from it even in old age. Ezekiel 18:20thru 22 The person who sins, he alone shall die. A child shall not share the burden of a parent’s guilt, nor shall a parent share the burden of a child’s guilt; the righteousness of the righteous shall be accounted to him alone, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be accounted to him alone. Moreover, if the wicked one repents of all the sins that he committed and keeps all My laws and does what is just and right, he shall live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions he committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness he has practiced, he shall live. Is it my desire that a wicked person shall die?—says the L-d G-D. It is rather that he shall turn back from his ways and live. May HaShem, Blessed be He continue to Bless us all and may we all be forever written in the Book of Life. O'Amein and O'Amein Let US Begin!!!! https://www.minds.com/MarieSpeaksatParadeRest
