How we conduct Bible Studies here:

We believe GOD has called each of us to search matters out.

(The glorie of God is to conceale a thing secret: but the Kings honour is to search out a thing. Proverbs 25:2)

This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks GOD’s Grace Bible Study we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure.

We have been directed by GOD Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS GOoD News.

We believe as directed by GOD Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in CHRIST shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man.

(Luke 9 Then [a]called he his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to heal diseases. And he sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to cure the sick.)  (Matthew 24 4And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Take heede that no man deceiue you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceiue many.)

Learning, growing, and studying with OUR LORD is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time.

(Matthew 6:6 But when thou prayest, enter into thy chamber and when thou hast shut thy doore, pray vnto thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret, shall rewarde thee openly.0

The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with GOD, CHRIST, and The HOLYSPIRIT.

1 Corinthians 3:8

He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Romans 12:6-8

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Ezekiel 18:20

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

Korah-

As written in Smith’s Bible Dictionary: Korah [N] [E] [H]

(baldness ).

Third son of Esau by Aholibamah. ( Genesis 36:5 Genesis 36:14 Genesis 36:18 ; 1 Chronicles 1:35 ) He was born in Canaan before Esau migrated to Mount Seir, ( Genesis 36:5-9 ) and was one of the "dukes" of Edom. (B.C. 1790.)
Another Edomitish "duke" of this name, sprung from Eliphaz, Esaus son of Adah. ( Genesis 36:16 )
One of the "sons of Hebron," in ( 1 Chronicles 2:43 )
  1. Son of Izhar the son of Kohath the son of Levi. He was leader of the famous rebellion against his cousins Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, for which he paid the penalty of perishing with his followers by an earthquake and flames of fire. ( Numbers 16 ; 26:9-11 ) The particular grievance which rankled in the mind of Korah and his company was their exclusion from the office of the priesthood, and their being confined –those among them who were Levites– to the inferior service of the tabernacle. Korahs position as leader in this rebellion was evidently the result of his personal character, which was that of a bold, haughty and ambitious man. (B.C. 1490.) In the New Testament ( Jude 1:11 ) Korah is coupled with Cain and Balaam.

Who was Korah?

Korah (Korach) was the leader of a rebellion against Moses and his brother Aaron, during the journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the Land of Israel. As punishment, he met his end by miraculously being swallowed up by the earth. His story is told in the Book of Numbers, in the portion known as Korach.

Korah, the Man of Stature

Korah  was a great-grandson of Levi, the third of Jacob’s twelve sons, and a first cousin to Moses and Aaron, the Jewish leader and High Priest, respectively.

Korah was extremely wealthy,  and was a clever and astute individual.4 His status as a member of the Levite tribe enabled him to participate in the service in the Mishkan, the portable sanctuary the Jews carried with them throughout their journey to the Promised Land.

Why might have Korah rebelled?

Korah was jealous of the fact that Aaron had been chosen as High Priest, to the exclusion of anyone else. Furthermore, his cousin Elitzafan had been chosen as head of the Levite family of Kehot, to which Korah belonged, and Korah felt this position was rightfully his.

Why did others choose to follow Korah in rebellion?

Jealousy and slander and gossip believing minds, do not have minds with critical thinking skills. Or, perhaps the followers were already thinking the same as the initial rebel (Korah), but had not the courage until once like minded anarchist was discovered within the camp.

What were the number of rebels gathered against Moses and Aaron?

Accompanied by Dathan and Abiram, troublemakers since their early days in Egypt, he rallied an additional 250 community leaders to his cause…….Korah’s group grew in size, as throughout the night he lured thousands to his side. The next day, the 250 men approached the sanctuary with their incense-filled pans.

 Who was Dathan?

Dathan: (belonging to a fountain ) a Reubenite chieftain, son of Eliab, who joined the conspiracy of Korah the Levite. ( Numbers 16:1 ; 26:9 ; 11:6 ; Psalms 106:17 ) (B.C. 1490-1452)

Who was Abiram?

Abiram.(proud) or (pride)

  1. A Reubenite, son of Eliab, who with Korah, a Levite, organized a conspiracy against Moses and Aaron. ( Numbers 16:1 ) … [For details, see KORAH] (B.C. 1490.)
  2. Eldest son of Hiel the bethelite, who died when his father laid the foundations of Jericho, ( 1 Kings 16:34 ) and thus accomplished the first part of the curse of Joshua. ( Joshua 6:26 ) (B.C. after 905.)

Synonyms for pride

Jealous, prideful, and spiritual lacking/unhappy people….what they have is several evil spirits, sickness, and sin.

Some people are similar to Korah, Dathan, and Abiham; in that although  they have family, money, position, and fame…they still are not satisfied.

They want what others have too.

Not because they have earned it, but they “feel” they deserve it.

Instead of looking around and appreciating what GOD has Blessed them with…they look at someone else’s house, spouse, occupation, and living; than because others are Blessed they feel lack.

They can’t stand to witness others succeed and be fruitful…at least never more than them.

Maybe this is another reason The LORD our GOD said:

Exodus 20:17Thou shalt not couet thy neighbours house, neither shalt thou couet thy neighbours wife, nor his man seruant, nor his mayde, nor his oxe, nor his asse, neyther any thing that is thy neighbours.

If the rebels had been successful……

there is little doubt in my mind that the remaining Kohanim would have not been saved or been able to escape with their lives. As tradition often goes… once a king or leader was taken out by rebels……. their bloodline and followers were immediate attacked next and exiled or more than likely killed.

Arabah:

The southern portion, which still retains the name of Arabah, is included in the wilderness of Zin (Numbers 34:3). According to the survey of Lord Kitchener and George Armstrong made in 1883, under the auspices of the Palestine Exploration Fund, its length from the head of the Gulf of Akabah to the Dead Sea is 112 miles. The lowest point of the watershed is 45 miles from Akabah, and 660 feet above tide (1,952 above the Dead Sea).

The average width of the valley up to this point is about 6 miles, but here a series of low limestone ridges (called Er Risheh) rising 150 feet above the plain runs obliquely across it for a distance of 10 miles, narrowing it up to a breadth of about one-half mile. North of this point, opposite Mount Hor, the valley widens out to 13 miles and then gradually narrows to 6 miles at the south end of the Dead Sea.

At Ain Abu Werideh, 29 miles north of the watershed, the valley is at the sea-level-1,292 feet above that of the Dead Sea. North of the watershed, the main line of drainage is the Wady el-Jeib, which everywhere keeps pretty close to the west side of the valley.

Now that we have a better understanding who is who and what family who came from…let’s re-read the verses.

16:1 thru 16:3Nowe Korah the sonne of Izhar, the sonne of Kohath, the sonne of Leui went apart with Dathan, and Abiram the sonnes of Eliab, and On the sonne of Peleth, the sonnes of Reuben:And they rose vp against Moses, with certaine of the children of Israel, two hundreth and fiftie captaines of the assemblie, famous in the Congregation, and men of renoume,Who gathered themselues together against Moses, and against Aaron, and sayde vnto them, Ye take too much vpon you, seeing all the Congregation is holie, euery one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherfore then lift ye your selues aboue the Congregation of the Lord?

Is anyone else able to hear the pride and arrounaece in the words of these rebelish leaders?

16:4 thru 16:7But when Moses heard it, hee fell vpon his face,And spake to Korah and vnto all his companie, saying, To morow the Lord will shew who is his, and who is holy, and who ought to approche neere vnto him: and whom he hath chosen, hee will cause to come neere to him. This doe therefore, Take you censers, both Korah, and all his companie,And put fire therein, and put incense in the before the Lord to morowe: and the man whome the Lord doeth chuse, the same shalbe holie: ye take too much vpon you, ye sonnes of Leui.

What incense was authorized by GOD and when and who was approved to use thereof?

Exodus ch 30

30:17 thru 13:38
Also the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Thou shalt also make a lauer of brasse, and his foote of brasse to wash, and shalt put it betweene the Tabernacle of the Congregation and the Altar, and shalt put water therein.
For Aaron and his sonnes shall wash their hands and their feete thereat.
When they go into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, or when they goe vnto the Altar to minister and to make the perfume of ye burnt offring to the Lord, they shall wash themselues with water, lest they die.
So they shall wash their handes and their feete that they die not: and this shall be to them an ordinance for euer, both vnto him and to his seede throughout their generations.
Also the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Take thou also vnto thee, principall spices of the most pure myrrhe fiue hundreth shekels, of sweete cinamon halfe so much, that is, two hundreth and fiftie, and of sweete calamus, two hundreth, and fiftie:
Also of cassia fiue hundreth, after the shekel of the Sanctuarie, and of oyle oliue an Hin.
So thou shalt make of it the oyle of holie oyntment, euen a most precious oyntment after the arte of the Apothecarie: this shalbe the oyle of holy oyntment.
And thou shalt anoynt the Tabernacle of the Congregation therewith, and the Arke of the Testimonie:
Also the Table, and al the instruments thereof, and the Candlesticke, with all the instruments thereof, and the altar of incense:
Also the Altar of burnt offring with al his instruments, and the lauer and his foote.
So thou shalt sanctifie them, and they shalbe most holy: all that shall touch them, shalbe holy.
Thou shalt also anoint Aaron and his sonnes, and shalt consecrate them, that they may minister vnto me in the Priests office.
Moreouer thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, This shalbe an holy oynting oyle vnto me, throughout your generations.
None shall anoynt, mans flesh therewith, neither shall ye make any composition like vnto it: for it is holy, and shalbe holy vnto you.
Whosoeuer shall make the like oyntment, or whosoeuer shall put any of it vpon a stranger, euen he shalbe cut off from his people.
And the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Take vnto thee these spices, pure myrrhe and cleare gumme and galbanum, these odours with pure frankincense, of eche like weight:
Then thou shalt make of them perfume composed after the arte of the apothecarie, mingled together, pure and holy.
And thou shalt beate it to pouder, and shalt put of it before the Arke of the Testimonie in the Tabernacle of ye Cogregatio, where I wil make appointmet with thee: it shalbe vnto you most holy.
And ye shall not make vnto you any composition like this perfume, which thou shalt make: it shalbe vnto thee holy for the Lord.
Whosoeuer shall make like vnto that to smelll thereto, euen he shalbe cut off from his people.

Numbers ch 16

16:9 thru 16:11Seemeth it a small thing vnto you that the God of Israel hath separated you from the multitude of Israel, to take you neere to himselfe, to doe the seruice of the Tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the Congregation and to minister vnto them?
He hath also taken thee to him, and all thy brethren the sonnes of Leui with thee, and seeke ye the office of the Priest also?
For which cause, thou, and all thy companie are gathered together against the Lord: and what is Aaron, that ye murmure against him?

Numbers ch 16

16:12 thru 16:14
And Moses sent to call Dathan, and Abiram the sonnes of Eliab: who answered, We will not come vp.
Is it a small thing that thou hast brought vs out of a lande that floweth with milke and honie, to kill vs in the wildernesse, except thou make thy selfe lord and ruler ouer vs also?
Also thou hast not brought vs vnto a land that floweth with milke and honie, neither giuen vs inheritance of fieldes and vineyardes: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come vp.

Numbers ch 16

16:15 thru 16:18
Then Moses waxed verie angry, and saide vnto the Lord, Looke not vnto their offring: I haue not taken so much as an asse from them, neither haue I hurt any of them.
And Moses said vnto Korah, Bee thou and al thy companie before the Lord: both thou, they, and Aaron to morowe:
And take euery man his censor, and put incense in them, and bring ye euery man his censor before the Lord, two hundreth and fiftie censors: thou also and Aaron, euery one his censor.
So they tooke euery man his censor, and put fire in them, and laide incense thereon, and stoode in the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation with Moses and Aaron.

The Rebels in further rebellion, went to the Tabernacle and engaged in Tabernacle Priest Kohanim duties of offering the daily incense… an appointment that GOD had not placed any of them in. In doing this act, they were attempting a cue; an overthrow of the government, an act of sedition.

Moses and Aaron trusting fully in GOD stood by and watched the abomination take place.

 Why?

Because those who commit sin against HaShem willful are punished. These rebels could have turned back and repented at any point and time….until the incense was lit.  This was the seal of their fate.

All traitors will fall into the pit once again… #2020.

Numbers ch 16

16:19 thru 16:27
And Korah gathered all the multitude against them vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation: then the glorie of the Lord appeared vnto all the Congregation.
And the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying,
Separate your selues from among this Cogregation, that I may consume them at once.
And they fell vpon their faces and saide, O God the God of the spirits, of all fleshe, hath not one man onely sinned, and wilt thou bee wroth with all the Congregation?
And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Speake vnto the Congregation and say, Get you away from about the Tabernacle of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.
Then Moses rose vp, and went vnto Dathan and Abiram, and the Elders of Israel followed him.
And he spake vnto the Congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tentes of these wicked men, and touche nothing of theirs, lest ye perish in all their sinnes.
So they gate them away from the Tabernacle of Korah, Dathan and Abiram on euerie side: and Dathan, and Abiram came out and stood in the doore of their tentes with their wiues, and their sonnes, and their little children.

Numbers ch 16

16:28 thru 16:33
And Moses saide, Hereby yee shall knowe that the Lord hath sent me to do all these works: for I haue not done them of mine owne minde.
If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men, the Lord hath not sent me.
But if the Lord make a newe thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallowe them vp with all that they haue, and they goe downe quicke into ye pit, then ye shall vnderstand that these men haue prouoked the Lord.
And assoone as he had made an ende of speaking all these wordes, euen the ground claue asunder that was vnder them,
And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them vp, with their families, and all the men that were with Korah, and all their goods.
So they and all that they had, went down aliue into the pit, and the earth couered them: so they perished from among the Congregation.

Numbers ch 16

16:34 thru 16:40
And all Israel that were about them, fled at the crie of them: for they said, Let vs flee, least the earth swalow vs vp.
But there came out a fire from the Lord, and consumed the two hundreth and fiftie men that offred the incense.
And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Speake vnto Eleazar, the sonne of Aaron the Priest, that he take vp the censers out of the burning, and scatter the fire beyond the altar: for they are halowed,
The censers, I say, of these sinners, that destroyed themselues: and let them make of them broade plates for a couering of the Altar: for they offered them before the Lord, therefore they shalbe holy, and they shall be a signe vnto the children of Israel.
Then Eleazar the Priest tooke the brasen censers, which they, that were burnt, had offred, and made broade plates of them for a couering of the Altar.
It is a remembrance vnto the children of Israel, that no stranger which is not of the seede of Aaron, come neere to offer incense before the Lord, that he be not like Korah and his company, as the Lord said to him by the hand of Moses.

Numbers ch 16

16:41 thru 16:50
But on the morowe all the multitude of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye haue killed the people of the Lord.
And when the Congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, then they turned their faces toward the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and beholde, the cloude couered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared.
Then Moses and Aaron were come before the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Get you vp from among this Congregation: for I wil consume them quickly: then they fell vpon their faces.
And Moses said vnto Aaron, Take the censer and put fire therein of the Altar, and put therein incense, and goe quickly vnto the Congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord: the plague is begunne.
Then Aaron tooke as Moses commanded him, and ranne into the middes of the Congregation, and beholde, the plague was begun among the people, and hee put in incense, and made an atonement for the people.
And when hee stoode betweene the dead, and them that were aliue, the plague was stayed.
So they died of this plague fourtene thousande and seuen hundreth, beside them that dyed in the conspiracie of Korah.
And Aaron went againe vnto Moses before the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the plague was stayed.

Bamidbar – Numbers – Chapter 16

Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi took [himself to one side] along with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, descendants of Reuben. 2They confronted Moses together with two hundred and fifty men from the children of Israel, chieftains of the congregation, representatives of the assembly, men of repute. 3They assembled against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “You take too much upon yourselves, for the entire congregation are all holy, and the Lord is in their midst. So why do you raise yourselves above the Lord’s assembly?”

4Moses heard and fell on his face. 5He spoke to Korah and to all his company, saying, “In the morning, the Lord will make known who is His, and who is holy, and He will draw [them] near to Him, and the one He chooses, He will draw near to Him.6Do this, Korah and his company: Take for yourselves censers.7Place fire into them and put incense upon them before the Lord tomorrow, and the man whom the Lord chooses he is the holy one; you have taken too much upon yourselves, sons of Levi.”

8Moses said to Korah, “Please listen, sons of Levi.9Is it not enough that the God of Israel has distinguished you from the congregation of Israel to draw you near to Him, to perform the service in the Mishkan of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to them?10He drew you near, and all your brothers, the sons of Levi with you, and now you seek the kehunah as well? 11Therefore, you and your entire company who are assembled are against the Lord, for what is Aaron that you should complain against him?” 12Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they said, “We will not go up.13Is it not enough that you have brought us out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the desert, that you should also exercise authority over us?14You have not even brought us to a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Even if you gouge out the eyes of those men, we will not go up.”

15Moses was exceedingly distressed, and he said to the Lord, “Do not accept their offering. I have not taken a donkey from a single one of them, and I have not harmed a single one of them.”16Moses said to Korah, “You and your entire congregation should be before the Lord you, they, and Aaron tomorrow.17Let each man take his censer and place incense upon it, and let each man present his censer before the Lord; [there will thus be] two hundred and fifty censers, and let you and Aaron each [take] his censer.18So each man took his censer, and they put fire upon it and placed incense upon it, and they stood at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting with Moses and Aaron.

19Korah assembled all the congregation against them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord appeared before the entire congregation.20The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron saying,21“Dissociate yourselves from this congregation, and I will consume them in an instant.22They fell on their faces and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, if one man sins, shall You be angry with the whole congregation?”23The Lord spoke to Moses saying,24“Speak to the congregation saying, ‘Withdraw from the dwelling of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.'”25Moses arose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him.26He spoke to the congregation saying, “Please get away from the tents of these wicked men, and do not touch anything of theirs, lest you perish because of all their sins.

27So they withdrew from around the dwelling of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, and Dathan and Abiram went out standing upright at the entrance of their tents together with their wives, their children, and their infants.28Moses said, “With this you shall know that the Lord sent me to do all these deeds, for I did not devise them myself.29If these men die as all men die and the fate of all men will be visited upon them, then the Lord has not sent me.30But if the Lord creates a creation, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them and all that is theirs, and they descend alive into the grave, you will know that these men have provoked the Lord.”

31As soon as he finished speaking all these words, the earth beneath them split open.32The earth beneath them opened its mouth and swallowed them and their houses, and all the men who were with Korah and all the property.33They, and all they possessed, descended alive into the grave; the earth covered them up, and they were lost to the assembly.34All Israel who were around them fled from their cries, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up [too]!”

35A fire came forth from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who had offered up the incense.

AMEN AND AMEN.

Welcome the following is a brief review of this Bible Study. 1. This BLOG post will have the resources and sources links for the Season 5 Bible Studies . 2. All Books used and Readings from during Live Bible Study can be found on Our Website: Marie Speaks GOD’s Grace. Live in the Season 5 portion of the website. 3. After Live Bible Studies have completed: I will upload to Rumble, and post link in this BLOG. How we conduct Bible Studies here: We believe G-D has called each of us to search matters out. (It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, And the glory of a king to plumb a matter. Like the heavens in their height, like the earth in its depth, Is the mind of kings—unfathomable.. Proverbs 25:2 -3) This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks G-D’s Grace Bible Study, we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure. We have been directed by G-D Wonderful and Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS Torah and Tanakh. We believe as directed by G-D Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in Torah and Tanakh leads to understanding and wisdom; this shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man. Learning, growing, and studying with OUR L-D is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time. The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with G-D. Proverbs 22: 4 thru 6 The effect of humility is fear of the LORD, Wealth, honor, and life. Thorns and snares are in the path of the crooked; He who values his life will keep far from them. Train a lad in the way he ought to go; He will not swerve from it even in old age. Ezekiel 18:20thru 22 The person who sins, he alone shall die. A child shall not share the burden of a parent’s guilt, nor shall a parent share the burden of a child’s guilt; the righteousness of the righteous shall be accounted to him alone, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be accounted to him alone. Moreover, if the wicked one repents of all the sins that he committed and keeps all My laws and does what is just and right, he shall live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions he committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness he has practiced, he shall live. Is it my desire that a wicked person shall die?—says the L-d G-D. It is rather that he shall turn back from his ways and live. May HaShem, Blessed be He continue to Bless us all and may we all be forever written in the Book of Life. O'Amein and O'Amein Let US Begin!!!! https://www.minds.com/MarieSpeaksatParadeRest
