How we conduct Bible Studies here:

We believe GOD has called each of us to search matters out.

(The glorie of God is to conceale a thing secret: but the Kings honour is to search out a thing. Proverbs 25:2)

This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks GOD’s Grace Bible Study we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure.

We have been directed by GOD Almighty, to go Book by Book, Verse by Verse; sharing HIS GOoD News.

We believe as directed by GOD Our Heavenly Father, learning and growing in CHRIST shall only be achieved in reading, studying, and sharing HIS Word for ourselves; not relying on man.

(Luke 9 Then [a]called he his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to heal diseases. And he sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to cure the sick.)  (Matthew 24 4And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Take heede that no man deceiue you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceiue many.)

Learning, growing, and studying with OUR LORD is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time.

(Matthew 6:6 But when thou prayest, enter into thy chamber and when thou hast shut thy doore, pray vnto thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret, shall rewarde thee openly.0

The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with GOD, CHRIST, and The HOLYSPIRIT.

1 Corinthians 3:8

He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Romans 12:6-8

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Ezekiel 18:20

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

Vines Dictionary defines: Sin (Noun and Verb)

[ A-1,Noun,G266hamartia ]
is, lit., a missing of the mark,” but this etymological meaning is largely lost sight of in the NT. It is the most comprehensive term for moral obliquity. It is used of “sin” as
(a) a principle or source of action, or an inward element producing acts, e.g., Romans 3:9Romans 5:12Romans 5:13Romans 5:20Romans 6:1Romans 6:2Romans 7:7 (abstract for concrete); Romans 7:8 (twice), Romans 7:9Romans 7:11Romans 7:13, “sin, that it might be shown to be sin,” i.e., “sin became death to me, that it might be exposed in its heinous character:” in the clause, “sin might become exceeding sinful,” i.e., through the holiness of the Law, the true nature of sin was designed to be manifested to the conscience;

What is the unforgivable sin?

Matthew ch 12

22 ¶ [h]Then was brought to him one possessed with a devil, both blind and dumb, and he healed him, so that he which was blind and dumb, both spake and saw,

23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this that son of David?

24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This man casteth the devils no otherwise out but through Beelzebub the prince of devils.

25 [i]But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself, is brought to naught, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.

26 So if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself: how shall then his kingdom endure?

27 Also if I through Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then is the kingdom of God come unto you.

29 Else how can a man enter into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then spoil his house?

30 He that is not with me, is against me: and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men:

but the blasphemy against the holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him: [j]

but whosoever shall speak against the holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good: or else make the tree evil, and his fruit evil: for the tree is known by the fruit.

34 [k]O generations of vipers, how can you speak good things, when ye are evil? For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of an evil treasure, bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, that of every [l]idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof at the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Then all ye Congregation lifted vp their voice, and cryed: and the people wept that night,
And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron: and the whole assemblie said vnto them, Would God we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wildernesse: would God we were dead.
Wherefore nowe hath the Lord brought vs into this lande to fall vpon the sworde? our wiues, and our children shall be a pray: were it not better for vs to returne into Egypt?
And they said one to another, Let vs make a Captaine and returne into Egypt.

The Nation of Israel verse 4.. 4 number of appointed times btw; where voluntary and willfully removing themselves from living a covenant with HaShem.  I believe further that this Nation of Israel committed the un-forgivable sin.

Moses and Aaron throw themselves at the mercy of this apostate nation.

14:5Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assemblie of the Congregation of the children of Israel.

Joshua and Caleb declare the Work of the LORD

14:6And Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh two of them that searched the lande, rent their clothes,
14:7And spake vnto all the assemblie of the childre of Israel, saying, The land which we walked through to search it, is a very good lande.
14:8If the Lord loue vs, he will bring vs into this land, and giue it vs, which is a land that floweth with milke and honie.
14:9But rebell not ye against the Lord, neither feare ye the people of the land: for they are but bread for vs: their shielde is departed from the, and the Lord is with vs, feare them not.
14:10And all the multitude saide, Stone them with stones: but the glory of the Lord appeared in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, before all the children of Israel.
14:11And the Lord said vnto Moses, How long will this people prouoke me, and howe long will it be, yer they beleeue me, for al the signes which I haue shewed among them?
14:12I will smite them with the pestilence and destroy them, and will make thee a greater nation and mightier then they.
14:13But Moses saide vnto the Lord, When the Egyptians shall heare it, (for thou broughtest this people by thy power from among them)
14:14Then they shall say to the inhabitants of this land, (for they haue heard that thou, Lord, art among this people, and that thou, Lord, art seene face to face, and that thy cloude standeth ouer them, and that thou goest before them by day time in a pillar of a cloude, and in a pillar of fire by night)
14:15That thou wilt kill this people as one man: so the heathen which haue heard the fame of thee, shall thus say,
14:16Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the lande, which he sware vnto them, therefore hath he slaine them in the wildernesse.
14:17And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,
14:18The Lord is slowe to anger, and of great mercie, and forgiuing iniquitie, and sinne, but not making the wicked innocent, and visiting the wickednes of the fathers vpon the children, in the thirde and fourth generation:
14:19Be mercifull, I beseech thee, vnto the iniquitie of this people, according to thy great mercie, and as thou hast forgiuen this people from Egypt, euen vntill nowe.

Moses did not complete GOD’s Commandment verse? or did he?…why or why…not?

Exodus 20: 4

Thou shalt make thee no grauen image, neither any similitude of things that are in heauen aboue, neither that are in the earth beneath, nor that are in the waters vnder the earth. 5Thou shalt not bowe downe to them, neither serue them: for I am the Lord thy God, a ielous God, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon the children, vpon the third generation and vpon the fourth of them that hate me: 6And shewing mercie vnto thousandes to them that loue me, & keepe my commandemets.

Maybe if Moses had completed the verse…he would have justified GOD’s judgement on the Nation?!?

or

Was Moses pleading with HaShem for another New Covenant? sooooo three?

Exodus 34

New Stone Tablets

1And the Lord saide vnto Moses, Hewe thee two Tables of stone, like vnto the first, and I will write vpon the Tables the wordes that were in the first Tables, which thou brakest in pieces. 2And be ready in ye morning, that thou mayest come vp earely vnto the mount of Sinai, and waite there for me in the top of the mount. 3But let no man come vp with thee, neither let any man be seene throughout all the mount, neyther let the sheepe nor cattell feede before this mount. 4Then Moses hewed two Tables of stone like vnto the first, and rose vp earely in the morning, and went vp vnto the mount of Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, & tooke in his hande two Tables of stone. 5And the Lorde descended in the cloude, and stoode with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6So the Lord passed before his face, and cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, mercifull, & gracious, slowe to anger, and abundant in goodnesse and trueth, 7Reseruing mercy for thousands, forgiuing iniquitie, and transgression and sinne, and not making the wicked innocent, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon ye children, & vpon childrens children, vnto the third and fourth generation. 8Then Moses made haste & bowed him selfe to the earth, and worshipped, 9And sayde, O Lorde, I pray thee, If I haue founde grace in thy sight, that the Lorde woulde nowe goe with vs ( for it is a stiffe necked people) and pardon our iniquitie and our sinne, and take vs for thine inheritance.

Maybe Moses was thinking GOD would keep forgiving?

Maybe Moses thought GOD had limitless patients?

The point is this…..even GOD has to Respect HIMSELF too. GOD would not be GOD if HE let HIMself be mistreated and discarded.

14:20And the Lord said, I haue forgiuen it, according to thy request.
14:21Notwithstanding, as I liue, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.
14:22For all those men which haue seene my glory, and my miracles which I did in Egypt, and in the wildernes, and haue tempted me this ten times, and haue not obeyed my voyce,
14:23Certainely they shall not see the lande, whereof I sware vnto their fathers: neither shall any that prouoke me, see it.
14:24But my seruant Caleb, because he had another spirite, and hath followed me stil, euen him will I bring into the lande, whither he went, and his seede shall inherite it.

What is Kares?

Posted by: Gil Student in Chumash MusingsLegacyPosts Apr 19, 10

  1. R. Sa’adia Gaon, says Abarbanel, holds that the soul that is cut off is the physical body. Kares means dying before your time. I assume that Abarbanel’s source is Emunos Ve-Dei’os and not R. Sa’adia Gaon’s Arabic translation of the Torah. If it is the latter, I could not find anything relevant in R. Yosef Kafach’s retranslation back into Hebrew, but I could have missed it. Regardless, I don’t think Abarbanel read Arabic (see Netanyahu’s Don Isaac Abravanel, p. 268 n. 33). In Emunos Ve-Dei’os (9:9), R. Sa’adia Gaon writes (my translation from R. Yosef Kafach’s Hebrew, p. 282): “His excision from this world causes him to be excised from among the righteous also in the world-to-come because he did not repent. And if God did not excise him, but completed his days in His patience, and he still did not repent, his punishment is even greater and his excision from among the righteous is even more deserved.” It seems to me that R. Sa’adia Gaon believed that kares means that generally, absent Divine mercy, a person will die before his time and, if he fails to repent, will be punished in the afterlife by being removed from righteous souls. I’m not sure how Abarbanel read this passage.
  1. Rashi held that kares means dying young and losing, or failing to have, progeny. Rashi writes this in his commentary to the Torah (Lev. 17:9) and in a few places in his commentary to the Talmud (Shabbos 25a sv. ve-karesChullin 31a sv. tameiKerisus 2a sv. PesachKesubos 30b sv. zarTa’anis 5b ve-ha’amar) and is discussed by Tosafos (Yevamos 2a sv. eishesShabbos 25a sv. kares). Actually, Rashi sometimes says that kares means that you die young, sometimes that you have no progeny and sometimes both. The simple resolution is that he means both but sometimes only mentions one aspect of it.
  1. The Riva, in Tosafos (cited above), believes that kares means you die at the age of 50, or at least before 60. Additionally, and this is unreported by Abarbanel, Riva holds that those who violate the prohibitions of forbidden relations, about whom it is stated “aririm yihyu — they shall be childless”, die without progeny. Also in Tosafos is the qualification of Rabbenu Tam that only children who are minors can be punished for their parents’ sins. Dying childless does not apply to children who are adults at the time of their parents’ sin.
  1. Abarbanel quotes another view from Tosafos that kares means dying after three days of illness. I could not locate this view. Abarbanel quotes a Gemara (Mo’ed Katan 28a) as proof but the Levush, who directs readers to Tosafos across the Talmud that quote a passage, does not indicate any Tosafos that utilizes this Gemara. I’m not sure what text Abarbanel had before him.
  1. The Rambam’s view has been interpreted in three different ways. In his commentary to Sanhedrin (9:6), Rambam writes that someone who receives kares is punished also in the world-to-come, as he explains in the next chapter. But in the introduction to the next chapter (p. 138 in the Hebrew-only R. Kafach edition), he writes that kares is that the soul is cut off and destroyed in the world-to-come. Which is it? Is the soul punished or destroyed?
  2. In Mishneh Torah (Hilkhos Teshuvah 8:5), the Rambam writes that kares means that the soul does not merit the world-to-come. Ramban, in Toras Ha-Adam (Kisvei Ha-Ramban, vol. 2 pp. 291-293), quoted at length in the anonymous commentary published in the standard edition of Hilkhos Teshuvah, explains that according to the Rambam, kares means that a soul is punished harshly immediately after death and then is destroyed. That allows for both punishment in the afterlife and destruction of the soul. Radbaz (Responsa, vol. 5 no. 122 = no. 1,495) agrees with the Ramban.
  3. However, Abarbanel interprets the Rambam differently. He explains that the soul’s destruction after death is itself a terrible punishment. There is no suffering of the soul per se, just a great loss of the wonders of the world-to-come. R. Yosef Kafach (Mishneh TorahHilkhos Teshuvah ch. 8 n. 4) offers a different interpretation. He suggests that the Rambam’s view is that kares is an eternal suffering of the soul. See below for further opposition to the idea that the soul is destroyed.

14:25 thru 14:34Nowe the Amalekites and the Canaanites remaine in the valley: wherefore turne backe to morowe, and get you into the wildernesse, by the way of the red Sea. After, the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying, How long shall I suffer this wicked multitude to murmure against me? I haue heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmure against me.

Tell them, As I liue (saith the Lord) I wil surely do vnto you, euen as ye haue spoken in mine eares. Your carkeises shall fall in this wildernes, and all you that were counted through all your nombers, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, which haue murmured against me,Ye shall not doubtles come into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hande, to make you dwell therein, saue Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun.

But your children, (which ye said shoulde be a pray) them will I bring in, and they shall knowe the lande which ye haue refused: But euen your carkeises shall fall in this wildernes, And your children shall wander in the wildernesse, fourtie yeeres, and shall beare your whoredomes, vntill your carkeises be wasted in the wildernesse.

After the number of the dayes, in the which ye searched out the lande, euen fourtie dayes, euery day for a yeere, shall ye beare your iniquity, for fourtie yeeres, and ye shall feele my breach of promise.
14:35 I the Lord haue said, Certainely I will doe so to all this wicked company, that are gathered together against me: for in this wildernesse they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. 14:36And the men which Moses had sent to search the land (which, when they came againe, made all the people to murmure against him, and brought vp a slander vpon the lande)

14:37Euen those men that did bring vp that vile slander vpon the land, shall die by a plague before the Lord.
14:38But Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh, of those men that went to search the land, shall liue.

GOD has always saved and rewarded HIS Faithful.
14:39 thru 14:45Then Moses tolde these sayings vnto all the children of Israel, and the people sorowed greatly. And they rose vp earely in the morning, and gate them vp into the toppe of the mountaine, saying, Loe, we be readie, to goe vp to the place which the Lord hath promised: for wee haue sinned. But Moses said, Wherefore transgresse yee thus the commandement of the Lord? it will not so come well to passe. Goe not vp (for the Lord is not among you) lest ye be ouerthrowe before your enemies. For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sworde: for in as much as ye are turned away from the Lord, the Lord also will not be with you. Yet they presumed obstinately to goe vp to the top of the mountaine: but the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and Moses departed not out of the campe. Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites, which dwelt in that mountaine, came downe and smote them, and consumed them vnto Hormah.

Numbers ch 14:

The entire community raised their voices and shouted, and the people wept on that night.
2All the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the entire congregation said, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this desert.
3Why does the Lord bring us to this land to fall by the sword; our wives and children will be as spoils. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt?”
4They said to each other, “Let us appoint a leader and return to Egypt!”
5Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before the entire congregation of the children of Israel.
6Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had scouted the land, tore their clothes.
7They spoke to the entire congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “The land we passed through to scout is an exceedingly good land.
8If the Lord desires us, He will bring us to this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
9But you shall not rebel against the Lord, and you will not fear the people of that land for they are [as] our bread. Their protection is removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them.”
10The entire congregation threatened to pelt them with stones, but the glory of the Lord appeared in the Tent of Meeting to all the children of Israel.
11The Lord said to Moses, “How long will this people provoke Me? How much longer will they not believe in Me after all the signs I have performed in their midst?
12I will strike them with a plague and annihilate them; then I will make you into a nation, greater and stronger than they.”
13Moses said to the Lord, “But the Egyptians will hear that You have brought this nation out from its midst with great power.
14They will say about the inhabitants of this land, who have heard that You, O Lord, are in the midst of this people; that You, the Lord, appear to them eye to eye and that Your cloud rests over them. And You go before them with a pillar of cloud by day and with a pillar of fire by night,
15and if You kill this nation like one man, the nations who have heard of Your reputation will say as follows:
16‘Since the Lord lacked the ability to bring this nation to the Land which He swore to them, He slaughtered them in the desert.’
17Now, please, let the strength of the Lord be increased, as You spoke, saying.
18‘The Lord is slow to anger and abundantly kind, forgiving iniquity and transgression, Who cleanses [some] and does not cleanse [others], Who visits the iniquities of parents on children, even to the third and fourth generations.’
19Please forgive the iniquity of this nation in accordance with your abounding kindness, as You have borne this people from Egypt until now.”
20And the Lord said, “I have forgiven them in accordance with your word.
21However, as surely as I live, and as the glory of the Lord fills the earth…
22that all the people who perceived My glory, and the signs that I performed in Egypt and in the desert, yet they have tested me these ten times and not listened to My voice,
23if they will see the Land that I swore to their fathers, and all who provoked Me will not see it.
24But as for My servant Caleb, since he was possessed by another spirit, and he followed Me, I will bring him to the land to which he came, and his descendants will drive it[s inhabitants] out.
25The Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valley. Tomorrow, turn back and journey into the desert toward the Red Sea.”
26The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
27“How much longer will this evil congregation who are causing to complain against Me [exist]? The complaints of the children of Israel which they caused them to complain against Me, I have heard.
28Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘if not as you have spoken in My ears, so will I do to you.
29In this desert, your corpses shall fall; your entire number, all those from the age of twenty and up, who were counted, because you complained against Me.
30You shall [not] come into the Land concerning which I raised My hand that you would settle in it, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.
31As for your infants, of whom you said that they will be as spoils, I will bring them [there], and they will come to know the Land which You despised.
32But as for you, your corpses shall fall in this desert.
33Your children shall wander in the desert for forty years and bear your defection until the last of your corpses has fallen in the desert.
34According to the number of days which you toured the Land forty days, a day for each year, you will [thus] bear your iniquities for forty years; thus you will come to know My alienation.
35I, the Lord, have spoken if I will not do this to the entire evil congregation who have assembled against me; in this desert they will end, and there they will die.
36As for the men whom Moses had sent to scout the Land, who returned and caused the entire congregation to complain against him by spreading [a slanderous] report about the Land”
37the men who spread an evil report about the Land died in the plague, before the Lord.
38But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive of the men who went to tour the Land.
39Moses related all these words to the children of Israel, and the people mourned greatly.
40They arose early in the morning and ascended to the mountain top, saying, “We are ready to go up to the place of which the Lord spoke, for we have sinned. “
41Moses said, “Why do you transgress the word of the Lord? It will not succeed.
42Do not go up, for the Lord is not among you, [so that] you will not be beaten by your enemies.
43For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you will fall by the sword. For you have turned away from the Lord, and the Lord will not be with you.
44They defiantly ascended to the mountain top, but the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord and Moses did not move from the camp.
45The Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived on the mountain came down and smote them and crushed them [pursuing them] until Hormah.

AMEN AND AMEN.

How we conduct Bible Studies here: We believe GOD has called each of us to search matters out. (The glorie of God is to conceale a thing secret: but the Kings honour is to search out a thing. Proverbs 25:2) This is one reason why here at Marie Speaks GOD's Grace Bible Study we review several historical references and resources, of which we provide links and or screen shots for others to study at their leisure. (Luke 9 1 Then [a]called he his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to heal diseases.2 And he sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to cure the sick.) (Matthew 24 4And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Take heede that no man deceiue you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceiue many.) Learning, growing, and studying with OUR LORD is to be done with others that are like minded, but more so during our personal time. (Matthew 6:6 But when thou prayest, enter into thy chamber and when thou hast shut thy doore, pray vnto thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret, shall rewarde thee openly.0 The BLOGs are written to assist those just beginning to study the BIBLE as a starting point. The Live or recorded Bible Studies are to cover and release opportunities and guidance, but ultimately is ones own personal responsibility to rule, govern, and be purposeful in their relationship with GOD, CHRIST, and The HOLYSPIRIT. 1 Corinthians 3:8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Romans 12:6-8 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Ezekiel 18:20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. Let US Begin!!!! https://www.minds.com/MarieSpeaksatParadeRest
