6:1 | And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying, |
6:2 | Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, When a man or a woman doeth separate themselues to vowe a vowe of a Nazarite to separate himselfe vnto the Lord, |
6:3 | He shall abstaine from wine and strong drinke, and shall drinke no sowre wine nor sowre drinke, nor shall drinke any licour of grapes, neither shall eate fresh grapes nor dryed. |
6:4 | As long as his abstinence endureth, shall hee eat nothing that is made of the wine of the vine, neither the kernels, nor the huske. |
6:5 | While hee is separate by his vowe, the rasor shall not come vpon his head, vntill the dayes be out, in the which he separateth him selfe vnto the Lord, he shalbe holy, and shall let the lockes of the heare of his head growe. |
6:6 | During the time that he separateth himselfe vnto the Lord, he shall come at no dead body: |
6:7 | Hee shall not make himselfe vncleane at the death of his father, or mother, brother, or sister: for the consecration of his God is vpon his head. |
6:8 | All the dayes of his separation he shalbe holy to the Lord. |
The vow or Nazarite for Man or Woman; could be temporary or permente.
So what was the duty of a Nazarite? When was the first Nazarite? If the Book List is correct Number ch 6 would be the first Nazarite Spiritual Appointed Voluntary Tribe Unto HaShem of a Holy Priesthood and the Volunteers are both Men and Women regardless of original Tribe of Birth ancestry. Why if this Spiritual Appointment could be Man or Woman do the verse say only he or him? The Man or Woman Nazarite would both be at a Priestly Level and therefore gender would not be a concern. Also, as explained before when a Priest is set apart unto GOD; the are see as Holy Like the Angels of YAH which have no gender, but are referred to as him and he as well. JESUS Our CHRIST confirms this in ( Geneva Bible of 1587 ) Mark 12:25 For when they shall rise againe from the dead, neither men marry, nor wiues are married, but are as the Angels which are in heauen. This Priestly level was previously only authorized by GOD for the birth appointment by HaShem for the line of the Sons of Aaron after a series of Spiritual Test had been passed. The Community Rule and Priestly Rules Scroll state the Spiritual Test and time frames of test for each Priest. Links are provided below. |

Continuing on, the Jewish Encyclopedia reads:
He is “holy unto the Lord” (Num. vi. 8), and the regulations which apply to him actually agree with those for the high priest and for the priests during worship (Lev. x. 8 et seq., xxi.; Ezek. xliv. 21). In ancient times the priests were persons dedicated to God (Ezek. xliv. 20; I Sam. i. 11), and it follows from the juxtaposition of Prophets and Nazarites (Amos ii. 11-12) that the latter must have been regarded as in a sense priests.
(retrieved from: https://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/11395-nazarite, date Oct 19, 2021/5782)
Which confirms Mark 12:25; in that a Priest has no gender in the eyes of HaShem like the Angels have no gender.

6:9 | And if any dye suddenly by him, or hee beware, then the head of his consecration shall be defiled, and he shall shaue his head in the day of his clensing: in the seuenth day he shall shaue it. |
Seventh Day is the day of completion.
6:10 | And in the eight day hee shall bring two turtles, or two yong pigeons to the Priest, at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation. |
8th day is the Day of covenant.
6:11 | Then the Priest shall prepare the one for a sinne offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and shall make an atonement for him, because he sinned by the dead: so shall he halowe his head the same day, |
6:12 | And he shall consecrate vnto the Lord the dayes of his separation, and shall bring a lambe of a yeere olde for a trespasse offering, and the first dayes shalbe voide: for his consecration was defiled. |
Verses 9 thru 12 are conditional Commandments to the Nazarite is He or She becomes unclean even if by accident. The only exception to this rule would be in the case of serving GOD, as written/ example by Samson in the Book of Judges: a link is provided for those who like to read a lesson on Samson. https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-stories/samson-and-delilah.html
6:13 | This then is the lawe of the Nazarite: When the time of his consecration is out, he shall come to the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, |
Meaning, the Nazarite has completed successfully the vow and orders of HaShem in the time frame vowed upon.
6:14 | And hee shall bring his offering vnto the Lord, an hee lambe of a yeere olde without blemish for a burnt offering, and a shee lambe of a yere olde without blemish for a sinne offring, and a ramme without blemish for peace offrings, |
6:15 | And a basket of vnleauened bread, of cakes of fine floure, mingled with oyle, and wafers of vnleauened bread anointed with oile, with their meate offring, and their drinke offrings: |
6:16 | The which the Priest shall bring before the Lord, and make his sinne offering and his burnt offering. |
6:17 | He shall prepare also the ram for a peace offring vnto the Lord, with the basket of vnleauened bread, and the Priest shall make his meate offring, and his drinke offring. |
6:18 | And the Nazarite shall shaue the head of his consecration at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and shall take the heare of the head of his consecration, and put it in the fire, which is vnder the peace offring. |
6:19 | Then the Priest shall take ye sodden shoulder of the ramme, and an vnleauened cake out of the basket, and a wafer vnleauened, and put them vpon the hands of the Nazarite, after he hath shauen his consecration. |
6:20 | And the Priest shall shake them to and from before the Lord: this is an holy thing for the Priest besides the shaken breast, and besides the heaue shoulder: so afterwarde the Nazarite may drinke wine. |
6:21 | This is the Lawe of the Nazarite, which he hath vowed, and of his offering vnto the Lord for his consecration, besides that that hee is able to bring: according to the vowe which he vowed, so shall he do after the lawe of his consecration. |
Aaron High Priest of the Tabernacle of HaShem brother of the Prophet Moses speaks the High Priest Blessing over the Nation of Israel.
6:22 | And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying, |
6:23 | Speake vnto Aaron and to his sonnes, saying, Thus shall ye blesse the childre of Israel, and say vnto them, |
6:24 | The Lord blesse thee, and keepe thee, |
6:25 | The Lord make his face shine vpon thee, and be merciful vnto thee, |
6:26 | The Lord lift vp his coutenance vpon thee, and giue thee peace. |
6:27 | So they shall put my Name vpon the children of Israel, and I wil blesse them. |

Numbers ch 6:

1The Lord spoke to Moses saying: |
2Speak to the children of Israel, and you shall say to them: A man or woman who sets himself apart by making a nazirite vow to abstain for the sake of the Lord. |
3He shall abstain from new wine and aged wine; he shall not drink [even] vinegar made from new wine or aged wine, nor shall he drink anything in which grapes have been steeped, and he shall eat neither fresh grapes nor dried ones. |
4For the entire duration of his abstinence, he shall not eat any product of the grape vine, from seeds to skins. |
5All the days of his vow of abstinence, no razor shall pass over his head; until the completion of the term that he abstains for the sake of the Lord, it shall be sacred, and he shall allow the growth of the hair of his head to grow wild. |
6All the days that he abstains for The Lord, he shall not come into contact with the dead. |
7To his father, to his mother, to his brother, or to his sister, he shall not defile himself if they die, for the crown of his God is upon his head. |
8For the entire duration of his abstinence, he is holy to the Lord. |
9If someone in his presence dies unexpectedly or suddenly, and causes the nazirite head to become defiled, he shall shave off [the hair of] his head on the day of his purification; on the seventh day, he shall shave it off. |
10And on the eighth day, he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the kohen, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. |
11The kohen shall prepare one for a sin offering and one for a burnt offering and atone on his behalf for sinning by coming into contact with the dead, and he shall sanctify his head on that day. |
12He shall consecrate to the Lord the period of his abstinence and bring a lamb in its first year as a guilt offering; the previous days shall be canceled because his naziriteship has been defiled. |
13This is the law of the nazirite: On the day his period of naziriteship is completed, he shall present himself at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. |
14He shall bring his offering to the Lord: one unblemished lamb in its first year as a burnt offering, one unblemished ewe lamb in its first year as a sin offering, and one unblemished ram as a peace offering, |
15and a basket of unleavened cakes; loaves of fine flour mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, with their meal offerings and their libations. |
16The kohen shall present it before the Lord, and perform the service of his sin offering and his burnt offering. |
17He shall make the ram as a peace offering to the Lord, along with the basket of unleavened cakes, and the kohen shall perform the service of its meal offering with its libation. |
18The nazirite shall shave the head of his naziriteship at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and he shall take the hair of the head of his naziriteship and place it upon the fire which is under the peace offering. |
19The kohen shall then take the cooked foreleg of the ram, one unleavened loaf from the basket and one unleavened wafer, place [them] in the hands of the nazirite after he has shaven off his nazirite [head]. |
20The kohen shall wave them as a waving before the Lord; it is consecrated to the kohen, along with the breast of the waving and the thigh of the uplifting. After this, the nazirite may drink wine. |
21This is the law of a nazirite who makes a vow: his offering to the Lord for his naziriteship is in addition to what is within his means. According to the vow that he vows, so shall he do, in addition to the law of his naziriteship. |
22The Lord spoke to Moses saying: |
23Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying: This is how you shall bless the children of Israel, saying to them: |
24“May the Lord bless you and watch over you. |
25May the Lord cause His countenance to shine to you and favor you. |
26May the Lord raise His countenance toward you and grant you peace.” |
27They shall bestow My Name upon the children of Israel, so that I will bless them. |
